The Upstate Crime Analysis Center (UCAC) is proud to award the Carolinas Crime Analysis Association (CCAA) Conference Student Scholarship to David Long, Criminal Justice/Crime Analysis student at the University of South Carolina Upstate.

We are honored to provide opportunities that help students expand their knowledge, build professional connections, and grow within the field of crime analysis.

As David shared: "I am incredibly honored to have been selected by the Upstate Crime Analysis Center to attend the 2026 CCAA conference as a student participant. Not only will the training I receive at this event enhance my academic studies in the Crime Analysis program at USC Upstate, but it will also provide highly valuable knowledge and skills that I intend to apply in both my current work within the field of asset protection and my volunteer work with Upstate Underground. Both of these roles incorporate a significant amount of tactical, intelligence, and geospatial crime analysis techniques and methods, and this is a tremendous opportunity to further develop and improve my skills and understanding in order to better serve my community."
