If you’ve been moved by a photo in our impact reports or loved a student’s senior portraits, chances are Danielle was behind the camera. While she’s officially joined our staff, she’s been a part of the Lead family for 8 years as a volunteer!

Growing up in a military family and traveling the world gave Danielle a unique perspective on community - one she’s spent the last 17 years capturing through photography. With a background in advertising and sports management, she brings a pro’s eye and a neighbor’s heart to everything she does.

Get to know Danielle: ⛰️ Colorado is home (though she’s a grad!) 🐾 Proud mom to three kids and two rescue pups. ❤️ Why Lead? She’s seen the “persistent love” firsthand through years of volunteering.

Danielle is also the voice behind Instagram and having a hard time writing about herself in 3rd person. 😜

She plans the party so we can share the mission.

Meet Kristin Robinson, the brain behind all things fundraising and events here at Lead! A UNC Chapel Hill grad with a gift for communication, Kristin knows that the best events are the ones where people feel seen and the purpose is clear.

While she’s a pro at managing the chaos of a big gala, she actually loves attending events most when she’s not the one with the clipboard!

When she’s off the clock: ✈️ She’s traveling or dreaming of the next trip. ⚽️ Watching sports with her husband, Chris, and their three boys. 🧼 Keeping her desk so clean it puts the rest of us to shame.

Give it up for Kristin for keeping us organized and inspired!

Guess who’s keeping us all in line?

If you’ve ever called the Lead office or sent us an email, you’ve likely been greeted by the wonderful Kristy Smith! As our Office Manager, Kristy is the organized, creative force that brings order and care to every ministry here.

With a background in Interior Design, Kristy is the mastermind behind the beautiful layout of our new office and our Harbor space. She has a gift for the details and a deep passion for ensuring every teen who walks through our doors feels seen, loved, and valued.

The Kristy “Starter Pack”: 🥣 A bowl of soup from Swamp Rabbit Cafe. 🏺 Scoring the ultimate vintage find. 🏘️ Expert-level interior design skills. 🧡 A heart for the next generation.

We are so grateful for the beauty and order you bring to Lead, Kristy!

Meet Taylor Padgett: Our resident prankster and Program Powerhouse!

Taylor’s journey with us has been a “fast-track” success story. She came for an internship and stayed for the mission, moving from intern to Office Manager in just 30 days. Today, she wears two hats as our Reach Program Director and Development Manager.

The Taylor Starter Pack:
The ultimate Greenville foodie
Professional friend-celebrator
The best (and loudest) laugh in the office
A dangerous knowledge, and application, of TikTok pranks

Taylor, thank you for leading with so much heart and keeping us all on our toes!

Next up in our Support Staff Series: Kenny Gilliland, Director of Staff Support

The office “fix-it” expert, and professional friend-maker. Kenny is the relational glue that keeps our team going. Whether he’s offering a helping hand or a giant hug, he makes Lead Collective a better place to be every single day. And he always has “two things” to say when you are looking for a bit of advice.

“So when life looks wrecked, don’t grit your teeth and wait for the great do-over. Pray for all that seems wrecked to be renewed.”

More than just a statistic.

The numbers tell a story, but our students are the heartbeat. Each hour poured into our programs this past year represents a student laying hold of new opportunities and walking in God’s grace.

These stats are a celebration of our framework of flourishing coming to life through the lived experiences of the young people we serve in Greenville. Thank you for partnering with us to create the conditions where this growth can begin. We truly couldn’t do this without you!

We want to start by saying THANK YOU. Your partnership is the reason we get to show up for our students at GOAT, Reach, and Éleos day after day.

As we look toward the year ahead, we wanted to share a closer look at the heart of our mission. Our brand new 2025 Impact Report is officially live!

Inside, we’re introducing our framework for Human Flourishing. We believe that when we invest in a student’s relationship with God, themselves, their neighbors, and their work, we aren’t just providing a program—we’re helping them build a life of purpose and peace.

Head to our Linktree in our bio to read the 2025 Impact Report and see the stories and stats that made this past year so special.

From Greenville to the world.

Today we’re celebrating the incredible Jacqueline Woodson. Before she was a literary icon, she was a young girl in Greenville, SC, gathering the family stories that would eventually become the National Book Award-winning ‘Brown Girl Dreaming.’

Her legacy reminds us that the stories in our own backyards have the power to change the world.
