Information about project lifesaver.

Project Lifesaver is a program that helps quickly locate loved ones with cognitive conditions who may wander, such as Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Autism or Down syndrome.

👩‍👩‍👦 How it works:
✔️ Participants wear a small wristwatch-style transmitter that emits a unique signal.
✔️ If a participant goes missing, search teams use their signal receiving equipment to track and locate the missing person.

WCBA is pleased to help sponsor this fun-filled event for individuals with disabilities ~ hosted by The Celebration of Life. Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 25th. Event takes place at the St. Mary’s Dome Church located in Derry, PA. There is not fee to attend but registration is required.

Our friends at The Lindsay Theater are hosting a sensory friendly screening of the The Super Mario Galaxy Movie!

The Lindsay Theater's sensory friendly screenings provide an option for families, children, and adults impacted by autism and other special needs to watch films together in a low-stress environment. They lower the film's volume, keep on dim house lights, and have a door open to restrooms and the lobby throughout the film. Trailers are eliminated to reduce the necessary "sit time." Staffing levels are also increased to allow a personal, unhurried cinematic experience for everyone.
