Good Morning!!!!!!! IT'S SPA DAY!!

Who wants to sponsor a spay today? 👀😸

Seriously❓️ Who woke up this morning and said to themselves "I want to help control the overpopulation of cats!"

Well, you can actually do it from your couch/chair/car wherever you are! We need your help with this part and we'll take it from here!

First up on our spay day menu is

Momma Annie AKA Momma Gray. Recently retired Momma of 5. Shes a little spicy 🌶 🙈 but that's ok! She was a great mom and wonderful to her kids. Now we get the chance to thank her with a spay!

Next up...... Momma Trixie! Wonderful petite dilute calico 🎨 with a little smoosh face! She is soooooo cute and loving. Barely 4 pounds #️⃣ and about 8 months old. However her keen Momma skills are definitely guerrilla warfare like. Shes raised her kids with grace and Instilled morals we haven't even thought of yet! We can honor her with a spay today!

Next up.....her son Travis. He's a short stout 12 week old boy in a girl's world. He has 3 sisters and is always waiting for the bathroom! 🧻 He's the first to greet you and the last to leave your lap! He gets a neuter today so we can find him his forever humans! Maybe they'll take his Momma with him!

Next we have Momma Danni. Another little petite girl who had kids way too young. Shes made some mistakes in life and we're here to make sure she doesn't make any more! She is kind and reserved and a sweet little girl who doesn't have to live outside anymore. Let's spay her and tell her how beautiful she is ❤️

Lastly, Momma Ginny. A 2 year old brown tabby girl. Shes one who came in with the 12 kittens. Shes been super sad lately and feeling down on her lifeluck. We wanted to give her a little luster back so she can shine as bright as she can! Let's spay her and show her what humans are made of! 💪

Each one today will be around $65 💲💸each. Small price to rewrite their stories and change the hands they were dealt. All aces from here on out though!

Im going to post their pics with their names just comment and their name and you'll get a feel good that will last you all day! For them, it lasts a lifetime. Cuz remember...... without us they have no one.

On Today’s episode of “All My Tabbies……” 😼😸🐈🐈🐈

Friday rescue line…..” Help someone dumped a bunch of cats!” Around this time of year people will say literally anything to find a small space in some rescue to help these poor animals. I don’t blame them. We do what we can when we can. I asked for pics as I always do so I know what I am dealing with. I asked if they were put in that box, she said they were found that way enclosed. Mothers dumped loose.

So friendly moms all similar in appearance. All pregnant at the same time, all gave birth……. And then dumped on someone else. Can you say free kittens from FB? I can. So last year someone thought it would be a brilliant idea to get their kids kittens, free ones with no vetting. Made sure they were all the same s*x so no accidents and of course girls because why not? Here we are about 10 months to a year later…….. The homeowner got it on video from her camera but its blurry. Also grayscale so you cant even tell what color the car was.

But back to Friday. I agreed to take them in with their moms. They drove all the way from Penn Hills with 12 displaced kids, one mom. I am like well, this wont do! I gave them two traps and instructions and prayed for the best. Saturday I would be back at the shelter early to help momma feed these kids. Plus my own 7 bottle babies from the mill, but that’s what we do. The 12 kittens were all sick, their eyes sealed shut, sniffles. Which is what teeny tiny kittens do when they are left in the cold night air. We will tend to that. However, this first momma was spectacular I watched her on cam throughout the night. Moving to an fro, tending to them. Saturday got the call they trapped the second very very scared momma girl. The look on her face when she saw kittens, and then the double take she did when she realized they were in fact HERS! You can’t bottle that. If I could I could sell it by the ounce and buy them palaces to live in. She wasted no time settling in and taking some slack off the first momma. 12 kids, 3 different sizes, 2 tired mommas. Safe. One momma still out there with fear in her heart…….

Monday was the day for her. Sweet girl. I will never know whose kids are whose. So they are all 3 together. No fights they just know. If a strange cat came into the mix with a momma and her kids? It would be a bloodbath. Yet these three belong and always have been. No doubt they are sisters. So I set them up in a double crate system that was still too small for their needs. I realized on Saturday I needed something more. I ordered a much larger enclosure for them and set up part of it last night. Yes, I am building them a palace. The safest place they will ever feel in their lives. They will know true love. And when they have nursed and raised their kids I will spay them and find them the forever homes they should have had to start with. Their trauma is real, those kittens your kids once loved, suffered horribly. Stop dumping cats! Better yet, fix them all.

That was what I did for Mother’s day. I ate some candy for energy and ran around all day both weekend days. I am sorry for them. I feel horrible that this can still happen. I am also thankful that I can help them. I can NEVER be grateful enough for the people who keep showing up to help us. Never. They help with the cats, with food and medical. It gives me focus to keep building an awesome place where one day we can save them all.

Mothers day is fast approaching! We currently have 9 nursing moms at the shelter, many of whom will be fixed in the next week or two. They have done their job, and done it well and have raised some beautiful kids! Some of our moms have been in their cages for 8 weeks now with their beans and are ready to stretch their paws!

So if you are worrying about what to get your mom for Mother’s day and racking your brain on what she might like the most….. If she is like me, she has gotten herself everything she could ever want in life. Instead you could give one of our momma cats a spa spay day in her honor! I know if one of my sons came to me and said “Mom I didn’t know what to get you for mother’s day so I spayed a momma cat at a local shelter in your honor.” For me, that would be a HUGE proud momma moment! It truly would be the best gift they could ever get me!

A basic spay spot costs around $65. So if you want to honor one of these Mommas, and your own at the same time…… you can do so below!
