✨ Meet Our Summer Intern: Jordan Johnson! 💜

Jordan Johnson is a second-year Pre-Nursing Scholar at North Carolina Central University with a minor in Public Health Education. She is passionate about mental health advocacy, health equity, and creating positive change in Black communities.

This summer, Jordan implemented Bigger Than Basics community event and helped establish the partnership between Our Lens and Gate City 180, expanding access to mental health resources and meaningful community engagement.

We’re grateful for her dedication, compassion, and commitment to making a difference.

Remember- If you want change, be it! 🌟

Thank you, Gate City 180, for inviting Our Lens Inc. to be a part of Bigger Than Basics. 💚

Thank you to everyone who donated to help us continue this work. Your generosity allows us to show up for our communities with self-care kits, mental health resources, and meaningful conversations.

It was an honor to spend the day with the community—sharing smiles, offering encouragement, and creating a space where people felt seen, heard, and supported. We truly believe that stronger communities are built when we take the time to care for one another.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table. We can’t wait to continue serving our community together. 💛

Showing up matters. 💙
This Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, Our Lens Inc. was honored to join the Omega Psi Phi Men’s Health Summit 2026 - Presented by Psi Phi Chapter to create space for conversations around emotional wellness, reflection, and healing.

From our “Unpack Your Bag” activity to sharing resources and encouraging open dialogue, we’re continuing our mission to normalize mental health conversations and remind our communities that asking for support is strength.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, unpacked with us, and chose themselves. 🧠✨

NCCU, y’all SHOWED OUT! 💜🔥 Our Lens Inc. x Alpha Lambda hosted the FIRST Our Lens Project HBCU event and set the tone for what’s to come across campuses nationwide. We laughed, learned, connected, and most importantly — normalized the conversation around mental health. ✨🦋

Huge thank you to our amazing sponsors — Target, Durham Co-op, NAMI NC, Trader Joe’s, AFSP NC, and McAlister’s — and to every org that stood beside us.

This wasn’t just an event, it was a family reunion 💫 And we’re only getting started… Next stop: who’s next? 👀
