This sweet boy is located in Utah and looking for a forever home. We know the struggle of a good dog who is just waiting for a family since sweet Niki has been here for a year and a half!
If you're located out west please consider sharing Bruce with your friends and family. Or if you're looking for a new family member go meet him!
If you're located out east please ask us about sweet Niki! She could be your new very best friend!
Bruce has now been waiting longer than any other dog at Arctic Rescue đź’”
Before coming to Arctic Rescue, Bruce spent 205 days in a shelter. When we pulled him, we were sure it would be a short stay - a dog who is great with dogs, cats and kids is the whole package. But that was 270 days ago. Add it up, and Bruce has spent 16 months of his life waiting for someone to choose him.
Bruce is 3 years old and, according to his DNA test, a very cute mix of Husky, Australian Shepherd, pittie, Malamute, Lab, and Samoyed.
His foster family calls him a total sweetie pie. Bruce just wants to be near his people. Whether he’s snuggled next to you on the couch, joining you on a walk, or hopping in the car for errands, he’s happiest simply being included.
He gets along beautifully with every dog and person he meets, and yes - even cats. He’s wonderful on leash, loves car rides, and as a typical Husky mix, he enjoys adventure just as much as he enjoys settling down with a good chew bone afterward.
A few months ago, his foster noticed he was moving a little stiffly, and Bruce was diagnosed with mild hip dysplasia. He’s now on a simple injection routine and doing great—still hiking, still playing, still the same happy, joyful dog. With basic care, he’ll continue living a full, active life.
We hope someone sees Bruce and finally says, “That’s my dog.” Sixteen months is long enough. Apply to adopt Bruce: www.arcticrescue.org/adopt
