🚨 AUTISM FAMILY GRANT OPPORTUNITY!

The 2026 Autism Care Today (ACT) Grant Cycle is OPEN, and this is one families may want to check out.

ACT provides financial assistance for autism-related treatments, assessments, programs, materials and other life supports that may not be covered by insurance, schools or other funding sources. Typical ACT grants range from $100–$5,000.

📅 2026 application period: September 15 th– October 15th
🇺🇸 Open to families living in the United States
💰 Financial need is considered
📄 Be prepared to provide: • Proof of autism diagnosis and recommended treatment/IEP
• Proof of the cost of what you're requesting
• Proof of household income

ACT does not fund transportation, rent, utilities, family vacations or hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Payments for approved grants go directly to the provider or vendor rather than to the family.

Sensory Friendly Night gives families a chance to enjoy the museum, aquarium and zoo with quiet zones, sensory activities and sensory backpacks available.

🎒 Back to school can bring big changes for children with autism and other special needs. A few tips for parents:

💙 Practice the morning routine ahead of time.
💙 Visit the school or classroom if possible.
💙 Share your child’s needs, triggers, and strengths with their teacher.
💙 Review their IEP or 504 plan and accommodations.
💙 Pack familiar comfort items or noise-reducing headphones.
💙 Give your child time to decompress after school.
💙 Celebrate progress, even the small wins!

Every child adjusts differently. Give yourself and your child grace, you are not navigating this journey alone. 💙

✈️ Wings for All is coming back to PTI!

Registration opens tomorrow, August 10th at 9:00 a.m. Spots are limited and can fill up fast!

Wings for All gives children with disabilities and their families a chance to practice the airport experience, from checking in and going through security to boarding an airplane before taking a real trip.
