The City of Greensboro’s International Advisory Committee (IAC) is partnering with the HUM Foundation to collect essential hygiene items to benefit underserved families in the community. The drive runs through Friday, March 20.
The following new, unused items are needed: bath or hand soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. Drive organizers request non-bulk-size items for easier delivery and transit.
Individuals may contribute to the drive through a special GoFundMe page, https://www.gofundme.com/f/donate-to-the-care-package-project-in-greensboro. Donations may also be dropped off in designated bins at the following collection sites, Monday through Friday, during the location's regular business hours through March 20:
· Cornerstone Charter Academy, 7800 Airport Center Dr.
· The Early College at Guilford, 5608 W. Friendly Ave.
· Greensboro Academy, 4049 Battleground Ave.
· Griffin Recreation Center, 5301 Hilltop Rd.
· Islamic Center of the Triad, 1203 Frances Daily Ct.
· Kathleen Price Bryan Family YMCA, 501 W. Market St.
· Lindley Recreation Center, 2907 Springwood Dr.
· Spears YMCA, 3216 Horse Pen Creek Rd.
· STEM Early College at NC A&T, 402 Laurel St.
· Triad Hindu Temple, 7751 Alcorn Rd.
· Warnersville Recreation Center, 601 Doak St.
Donations will be consolidated and assembled into care packages. HUM Foundation members will distribute the packages to FaithAction International, UNC Greensboro’s Center for New North Carolinians, and the New Arrivals Institute for families in need.
