What an incredible moment for the Jay Mack Community Foundation and our entire community! Our 5th Annual Back to School Community Bash was featured on WGHP FOX 8 News, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to share the heart behind this event with the Triad.

This wasn’t just an event—it was a community coming together to make sure our children and families are ready for a successful school year. From hundreds of bookbags and school supplies to 730 pounds of snack packs, 200 cups of frozen custard, free resources, giveaways, and more than 20 community organizations, the love and support were felt everywhere.

To every volunteer, board member, vendor, sponsor, donor, community partner, family, and friend who helped make this possible—this feature also belongs to you. ❤️

And to Greensboro and the entire Triad: we’re just getting started.

To every vendor, organization, business, community partner, and supporter who showed up for our 5th Annual Back to School Community Bash — THANK YOU! 💙💚💛

You didn’t just participate. You helped make the day possible.

Thank you to everyone who donated school supplies, provided resources, served families, brought food, gave their time, shared their talents, sponsored activities, volunteered, and simply showed up ready to pour into our community.

Because of YOU, hundreds of families walked away better prepared for the school year. From bookbags and school supplies to community resources, food, fun, and meaningful connections, this event was truly a community effort.

We are grateful for every organization, business, vendor, volunteer, board member, donor, and partner who believed in the vision and helped us bring it to life.

This is what happens when a community comes together.

THE VIBES WERE VIBING! And the impact was REAL! 💙💚💛

Our 5th Annual Back to School Community Bash was filled with laughter, music, smiles, dancing, community, and SO much love!

But beyond the vibes, look at what this community accomplished:

🍦 200 cups of frozen custard donated by Andy's Frozen Custard
🥨 730 pounds of snack packs distributed by A Simple Gesture GSO/HP/Guilford County
🎒 Hundreds of bookbags filled and ready for school
🤝 20+ community organizations providing valuable resources and support
📚 Hundreds of families better prepared to send their children into the new school year equipped, encouraged, and supported

From the first setup to the last bookbag, this was COMMUNITY in action.

This wasn’t just a Back to School event. It was a celebration of what happens when organizations, businesses, volunteers, families, and neighbors come together with one common goal — to make sure our children know that their community believes in them.

The energy was unmatched. The smiles were contagious. The love was everywhere.

And we’re still smiling thinking about it. 💙💚💛

You showed up. You served. You made it happen. 💙💚💛

Our 5th Annual Back to School Community Bash would not have been possible without the incredible volunteers and dedicated board members who gave their time, energy, and hearts to make this day a success.

From preparing hundreds of book bags and organizing supplies to setting up, welcoming families, supporting our vendors, keeping things moving, and helping wherever needed — you showed up and got it DONE!

To every volunteer and every board member: THANK YOU. Your commitment to our children and our community is what makes the work of the Jay Mack Community Foundation possible.

This event was more than a day in the park. It was a reminder of what happens when a community comes together with one purpose: to serve, uplift, and pour into our children.
