We had an amazing time at Future Forward Greensboro this past Saturday!

The event was truly spectacular, and we were able to serve so many incredible students from across our community. From meaningful conversations to career exploration and new connections, the energy in the room was everything we hoped for and more.

We are so proud of our UNCG Humanities @ Work interns who planned and led this event from start to finish. Your hard work showed, and the impact was real.

Join us this Saturday for an inspiring afternoon designed to help the next generation explore what’s possible!

Future Forward Greensboro: Career Exploration & Readiness Program is a hands-on event where middle and high school students can connect with professionals, discover career paths, and learn about opportunities after high school.

This event is proudly planned and led by our UNCG Humanities @ Work interns, who are passionate about creating opportunities for youth in our community.

🚀 Future Forward Greensboro is Coming!

We’re excited to announce Future Forward Greensboro: Career Exploration & Readiness Program, an interactive event designed to help students explore career possibilities and learn about pathways to success after high school.

Hosted by the Jay Mack Community Foundation in partnership with our interns from the Humanities @ Work Program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, this event will bring together local professionals, organizations, and community leaders to engage directly with middle and high school students from across Guilford County.

Students will participate in:
• Career exploration activities
• Conversations with professionals from diverse industries

✨ Meet Our Interns!

The Jay Mack Community Foundation is excited to welcome two incredible student interns from the Humanities @ Work Program at UNC Greensboro. We are proud to partner with the university to provide hands-on nonprofit experience while empowering the next generation of community leaders.

Please join us in welcoming Carmen Jones and Brooklynn Martin!

Carmen Jones is a sophomore majoring in African American Diaspora Studies. She is passionate about advancing educational equity and strengthening communities by supporting children and empowering working families. Carmen is excited to contribute to initiatives that create greater access, opportunity, and belonging.

Brooklynn Martin is a junior studying English and Economics. She is passionate about helping young people learn about their options after high school and explore different career pathways. In her free time, she enjoys reading and playing rugby.

Throughout their internship, Carmen and Brooklynn will support program planning, community outreach, and event development — including helping lead our upcoming youth career exploration event, Future Forward Greensboro.

We’re excited to have them on the team and look forward to the impact they’ll make in our community! 🎉

Holiday Jamboree - Call for Nonprofits & Children to Join Us!

The Jay Mack Community Foundation is excited to announce our Holiday Jamboree in partnership with the Greensboro chapter of Toys for Tots! We’re looking for children to join us for a festive day of fun where they can receive free holiday toys in a family-oriented atmosphere full of joy and holiday cheer.

We are asking you to refer needy children and families for this spectacular holiday event! Help us spread the word and bring smiles to the children in our community.

We are also seeking 3 nonprofit organizations that serve children and families to showcase their services at the event. This is a great opportunity to connect with the community and share your resources. The participation fee is only $20 per nonprofit.
