Ramadan Mubarak!
Ramadan is the 9th and holiest month of the Muslim Calendar. Muslims celebrate the spiritual potency of this month by abstaining from food and drink during sunlit hours of the day to draw themselves closer to God, practice detachment and gratitude, refocus their energy towards prayer and devotion, and strengthen their compassion for those less fortunate.
Even if you are not Muslim or don’t celebrate Ramadan, we can all honor the spirit of Ramadan this holy month. In the face of global turmoil and violence, perhaps it is a call to action—or a mercy—to accept the gifts that Ramadan can offer us. ( with .repost)
