Francis, Florence and Friends Equine Rescue We are a registered 501(c)3.We help neglected, at risk and homeless equines , one soul at a time. It is our mission to help equines in need.

Every year over 150,000 thousand US equines are sent to slaughter in Mexico and Canada. These poor unfortunate souls are crammed into trailers , old , young , sick , injured , and trucked for days to face a barbaric death. This group was founded to help find homes for , network , and fundraise for these deserving horses , mules and donkeys. Our goal is to give a voice to the voiceless. No other an

imal in history has provided such servitude to man. It is our duty to take care of these beautiful , smart animals. Please join our fight , help educate , and help us , help them.

Furiously also known as as Red is looking for his forever home!

Red is a 6 year old OTTB with a kind personality and tons of potential. He’s very willing and wants to please.
He is still green and will do best with a knowledgeable rider or program, but he is very willing and ready to learn. Red has been to multiple schooling shows and spent a weekend in Raeford at War Horse event series, handling it all like a champ.

Our sweet boy tried his hand at fox hunting🦊 last weekend with Sedgefield Hunt. We stayed with 3rd flight in an effort to not overwhelm his young brain and Red learned to settle into the environment. Thank you to Pat Singer for making a donation to our organization in honor of Buddy. Buddy was simply amazing! He was a trusted teacher to his young rider years ago and then went to spend many years as a lesson horse. Buddy was loved until his last breath. Our rescue is honored to receive a donation in his name.

We cheered Red on as he did Intro A & B and soared over 18” cross rails like he was competing in the Olympics! There’s something about this horse that we can not get enough of. Red has such a kind nature and is so willing to give heart to whatever he’s learning. Thank you to Hillcrest farms for hosting a great schooling show!

We are very excited Equestrian Tack Consignment Sale has found a new home for this coming spring. Our group has been actively accepting donations over the past few weeks and hope to get a lot more. The last sale was our biggest one to date! Thank you to all that donate to our small equine rescue! Please contact me directly to arrange a drop off time for donations. This sweet face went on a road trip today! Red is spending the weekend in Southern Pines so he can take in the horse show environment and experience The War Horse series. He handled the 2 hour trailer ride with no problem, unloaded quietly and went on a short hack around the show grounds.

Ba****ck rides on the best horses! Red is our OTTB rescue that brought up the rear and let me play videographer. Gotta love his brain and ability to stay relaxed! Someone will be very lucky to call Red their very own when he’s is available for adoption.
