Our sweet Red has an ouchy😢 He will make a full recovery from his abscess but obviously isn’t impressed with standing to soak his foot. Getting a text from our newest volunteer singing Red’s praises is such a nice thing. Volunteers rock and this sweet horse rocks! Red is still looking for his permanent home🏡

Meet Maxine! She lives at the foster farm that we primarily operate out of. Maxine is not up for adoption because she has an amazing family with Deep River Farm that retired her after an injury. The Willard family does an amazing job of standing by their horses until their last day even if it means years of paying bills for horses after their prime. I share this because so many horses are NOT as fortunate and their owners allow them to be sold or given away to a bad situation. So many are run through horse sales and bought for slaughter. Not Maxine though!! She is retired and loved.

Furiously also known as as Red is looking for his forever home!

Red is a 6 year old OTTB with a kind personality and tons of potential. He’s very willing and wants to please.
He is still green and will do best with a knowledgeable rider or program, but he is very willing and ready to learn. Red has been to multiple schooling shows and spent a weekend in Raeford at War Horse event series, handling it all like a champ.
