For generations, the soil has quietly carried us – feeding our families and grounding our communities. But today, our soils are under growing pressure. Simply sustaining them as they are only keeps them holding on. To truly give back, we must regenerate.

Regenerative farming is a return to life. It is the moment a farmer holds a handful of dark, rich earth and feels it breathing again. It brings clean water to our streams, vibrant biodiversity to our fields, and balance back to our climate. We are no longer just growing food. We are healing the very ground that holds our future.

The story of our land is still being written, and together, we can give it a new beginning. πŸŒ±πŸ’š

Is your soil giving you clues? 🌱

Compaction reduces the tiny spaces that allow water, air, and plant roots to move through the soil.

Check areas near gates, feeding spots, walking paths, and equipment tracks. Push a long screwdriver into moist soil to check for resistance, or dig up a small sample to examine the roots and soil structure.

These signs can have other causes, so compare several locations before drawing conclusions.

What Is Rain Telling You About Your Soil?

After a hard rain, the way water behaves can reveal important clues about what is happening below the surface.

When water soaks into the soil, it can become available to plant roots. When water ponds, it may point to soil that is sealed, compacted, or lacking enough structure. When water runs off, it can carry soil and nutrients away.

These observations do not replace soil testing, but they can be a useful first step in understanding how your soil is functioning.
