I want to give a special recognition to the work Joseph Harris has done for PPI this year.

In his capacity of President of Greencastle's NAACP chapter, Joseph advised and assisted us every step of the way. He was our liaison with the police department. He was our liaison with City Hall. He gave us advice and support on strategy, budgeting, scheduling and logistics. He was our Chief Security Officer, and he showed up and was on duty for the entire event, too.

Our planning team was made up entirely of first-time organizers. This was our first big event, and I honestly don't think we could have done it without Joseph's help and guidance.

In his day job, Joseph is Assistant Director of Depauw's Center for Diversity and Inclusion. He is also the Parliamentarian for the State of Indiana NAACP Conference, and he is a ferocious and tireless local activist and advocate. Greencastle is incredibly privileged to have him here.

Volunteers needed!

We're rushing around making final arrangements for the Greencastle Pride Block Party. It's going to be great, but we need your help!

Please volunteer to help with the production. We need volunteers on Saturday, Sept 27, before, after, and during the event itself.
