Next week is Peace Week at Roose! ☮️✌🏽 Peace Week is a special time for students, staff, and our school community to come together and reflect on the importance of peace, kindness, and understanding—both locally and globally. Through thoughtful, interactive, and creative activities, we aim to inspire a culture of peace that extends far beyond this week and positively shapes our school environment.

Here’s a sneak peek of what’s in store:

● Peace Week Quote of the Day: Each morning, we’ll share a peace quote to inspire us all.

● Peace Colors of the Day: We’ll have a color theme each day to help us visually represent peace. Be sure to wear the color of the day!

● Random Acts of Kindness: Every day, we’ll highlight ways you can show kindness and help create a positive atmosphere. Watch for opportunities to be recognized for your good deeds!

We can't wait to see each of you spreading peace in your own unique way! Let's make this week unforgettable by filling it with kindness, positivity, and unity.

Have a peaceful weekend, and don’t forget to wear RED on Monday to show your commitment to Stop the Violence! ❤️

⏰ Please note that there is a time-sensitive element to this request!

Dear Raider Families, Friends, and Community Partners,

As you may have heard, our county is currently navigating a $100 million budget deficit driven by:

- Declining enrollment
- A shrinking fund balance
- Limited new revenue

Because of this, schools have very limited discretionary funding, which means important enrichment and student-support initiatives now rely heavily on community donations. Your support truly makes a difference.

Our Project Goal: $4,200 — and every $20 helps us get there quickly

We recently launched a DonorsChoose project, Empowering Positive Choices with Raiders, which provides our students with meaningful incentives that help them stay engaged, motivated, and connected to school.

If every family or supporter donated just $20, we could fully fund the project in no time. All contributions—large or small—add up incredibly fast when everyone participates.

Your Donation Will Be DOUBLED This Week

For the next 7 days, DonorsChoose is offering a special match. When donors enter the promo code LIFTOFF at checkout, their donation will be doubled up to $50. This is an amazing opportunity to stretch your impact.

Donation Link:

Whether you’re able to donate, share the link with friends, or simply help spread the word, your support helps create a positive, encouraging, and enriching school environment for our students. We are deeply grateful for this partnership and for all you do to help our Raiders thrive.

Thank you for believing in our students and for being part of their success.

Warmly,

--

Did you know that our Media Center has gotten a huge makeover?! As we prepare for the grand re-opening, our AMAZING Media Specialist, Tammi Tatro, can really use a hand getting things set up this Wednesday, Dec 3rd, between 10am and 2pm.

Jobs include:

🪑 Assembling the new furniture. Ex: putting legs on the tables, putting furniture in the correct spots.

🖼️ Decorating. There are graphics that need to be put up and some things need to be adhered to the walls.

📚 Putting books back on the shelves. This is going to be the biggest and most challenging task by far!

💡Organizing. We will also need to organize the new "Innovation Hub" (the current Reference room) once the books are removed.

Any time you can lend between 10 and 2 would be greatly appreciated! (Please note your availability in the comments section when you sign up to help.)
