Last May, my Kenyan sister-in-law Janet invited me to visit her one-room public preschool in remote Kipkelion, Kenya. We had a delightful morning with her 25 learners, many of whom walk an hour or more to school from their shambas, or family farms.
Janet was instrumental in founding Kaborak B. Comprehensive, which serves 330 learners, pre-K to 8. Not untypical for a remote rural school, it's under-resourced; its faculty gave me a list of needed instructional items. In January, thanks to our donors, FundFerret contributed 3 refurbished desktops and a new printer and projector, all purchased locally.
We are now raising funds for preschool books, toys, crayons, and other supplies. Please consider helping us toward our $200 goal by making a tax-deductible donation at https://gofund.me/75d762f9
We use 100% of all donations to purchase items and deliver them to the school.
Asante sana! (Thank you very much!)
