Last night I had the honor and privilege to work with fellow members of the Wisconsin auctioneers Association to raise over $457,000 for the cheese industry around the globe at the world cheese auction at the biard center in Milwaukee. Thank you Tim Slackďżź Rodney Fryemiller Chase Hestatune, Mark Oberholtzer and Jenny Gehl for a wonderful evening and your hard work and dedication to the association.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that WAA Member Brice J Huntington, age 37, was called home to his lord and savior on April 9th, 2026. In 2022, Brice took a leap of faith and purchased Auction Associates, Inc. Brice quickly decided to involve his family including his wife Jaime, their children, and his sisters Brooke and Brynn. He attended auction school and was an active member of the Wisconsin and Minnesota Auction Associations. Every auction he could be seen walking around with his signature giant smile beaming with pride while sporting his Auction Associates apparel.

I never dealt with Jack in the insurance or auction business, though I had family members who did. I got to know him a bit when I was named the editor of the Pierce County Herald in 2015. ‘An incredible heart for Ellsworth:' Community, business leader Jack Hines’ dedication remembered. If Jack Hines hadn’t worked so hard to make the greater Ellsworth area as strong as it is, it would be tough to sustain a loss like this. John “Jack” Jerome Hines - the man who made everything in the community better – from the schools to the library and scores of community organizations – passed away Friday, March 13 at the age of 89. So much of the success of so many in Ellsworth was a direct result of having the privilege of having met Jack Hines.
