Our 2026 artist, Miyuki Lin Dones, a transgender woman living in the Lake County area, has her BFA in art and a minor in Graphic Design & Art. She moved to Illinois in 2023 and has been featured in PFLAG Illinois Open Doors, Dandelion Gallery & Studio in Waukegan, Black Cat Minerals in Gurnee, and more! You can also find her vending at ArtWauk in Waukegan.

Miyuki has a focus on Manga and mini origami, in which she has gone so mini, she has created her own folds! As of late, she has found purpose in creating artwork that reflects issues, thoughts, and emotions that affect her and the LGBTQ+ community.
