🐾 Happy National Veterinary Technician Week! 💙

This week, we’re celebrating the veterinary technicians who work behind the scenes and alongside veterinarians to keep our pets healthy and cared for.

From assisting with exams and monitoring anesthesia to providing comfort, compassion, and a steady hand when pets need it most, vet techs make a difference every single day.

At Gold Country Animal Clinic, we’re grateful for the skill, dedication, and heart that go into caring for every animal who comes through our doors.

Please join us in thanking veterinary technicians everywhere for all they do for the animals we love! 🐶🐱💙

Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday and for those who donated! The blessing of the animals raised $500 for our clinic to be used for community members who need some extra assistance. Thank you all! ⭐️

10/16/2026

Join us tomorrow for a blessing of the animals! A donation isn’t required or expected, but if you’d like to leave a little something, donations are used for our Pay it Forward fund! This fund is for community members who need a little extra help paying for their services.

And thank you to the lovely community members who invited us to this event! ❤️

We’ve had the opportunity to meet some pretty amazing veterinarians through our work at Gold Country Animal Clinic, and Dr. Taro Cuetara is one of them. ❤️

In addition to working with us, Dr. Taro provides a very special service through CuetaraCare Pet Euthanasia, peaceful, at-home goodbyes with love, compassion and empathy.

Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is never easy. Having the option to say goodbye in the comfort of home, surrounded by the people and things they know and love, can make an incredibly difficult moment a little more peaceful.

We’re grateful to have Dr. Cuetara as part of the Gold Country Animal Clinic family and appreciate the compassion he brings to his work with animals and their people. ❤️

We are beyond excited to have another low cost spay/neuter clinic just down the hill! There is an incredible need for prevention services and we are so glad to see FieldHaven Feline Center meeting their community's need. Spay/neuter saves lives! 🐱 🐶

This is Bergara. He isn’t really in the celebrating mood, BUT WE ARE!!! 😂🐈‍⬛

This little guy is Animal #1,000 to receive a spay or neuter surgery at Gold Country Animal Clinic since we opened our doors in April. In less than 6 months, we treated ONE THOUSAND pets.

That’s 1,000 animals who won’t contribute to the cycle of unplanned litters. 1,000 pets whose families chose responsible care. And 1,000 surgeries made possible by the people who believe that affordable spay and neuter can make a difference.

What an incredible milestone for our little clinic.

Thank you to every client, volunteer, donor and supporter who has helped us get here. We couldn’t have done it without you.

1,000 down. And we’re not stopping. 🐾

If you’d like to donate and help us continue making an impact in our community, we would be incredibly grateful.

Spay & neuter is more than preventing unwanted litters — it can protect your pet’s health, too. ❤️

This 10-year-old girl was recently brought to a local veterinary clinic because her family was considering euthanasia. She had become seriously ill and was declining rapidly.

The diagnosis? Pyometra — a potentially life-threatening infection of the uterus that can occur in unspayed female dogs.

Because of the severity and rapid progression of her illness, Gold Country Animal Clinic provided an emergency spay, and this sweet girl is now recovering and thriving.

Instead of saying goodbye, her family was given another option. Now they are looking forward to a few more years together. ❤️

Spaying can help prevent pyometra and reduce the risk of certain reproductive health problems. Neutering can also provide important health benefits for male pets.

Gold Country Animal Clinic provides affordable spay and neuter services to help make this important care accessible to more pets and their families.

Spay/ neuter helps reduce the number of homeless pets — and can also help protect your pet’s health, which can mean more healthy years together. ❤️

❤️ Emergency Surgery. A Second Chance. ❤️

This sweet Corgi girl came to us after being hit by a car and suffering serious injuries. She needed emergency surgery—and she needed it quickly. Thanks to the incredible collaboration between our team and a traveling veterinary specialist, we were able to perform the lifesaving surgery she needed right here in our community.

Emergency cases like this are exactly why access to high-quality veterinary care matters. We’re so grateful to the specialist who traveled to help her, our dedicated team who cared for her, and everyone who supports Gold Country Animal Clinic and makes care like this possible.

Now, this brave girl is recovering and working toward getting back on all four paws. 🐾❤️

Please join us in sending this little Corgi lots of love and healing thoughts as she continues her recovery!

This is why we do what we do. 🐶❤️
