2026 will be a new season for The Jolly Treehouse.

This space will no longer be a rental property. Instead, it will be offered as a place for single fathers to connect with their children—free of charge.

I know firsthand how challenging it can be to be a single father. Time with our children is sacred, budgets are often stretched thin, and sometimes it feels impossible to provide all the experiences we wish we could.

If sharing what I have can help other dads strengthen their bond with their kids—rather than using the space simply to earn income—then that is what I want to do.

Over the winter, I’ll work out the details for how fathers can apply and reserve weekends. My hope is that by the end of next camping season, I’ll be even more grateful—knowing this treehouse helped create lasting memories for dads and their children.

I’m thankful for all the guests who have supported The Jolly Treehouse in the past, but I’m even more excited about the future purpose this place will serve.

Looking for a break from the hustle?

The Jolly Treehouse has it all—birds chirping, planes overhead, the distant hum of a chainsaw, and a soggy dog fresh from the pond trying to sneak inside. It’s the kind of chaos that somehow feels like peace—perfect for getting lost in a good book while the world keeps doing its thing.

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the tadpoles are back in the pond—summer is waking up the woods, and so am I. The fire’s crackling and the treehouse is coming back to life, just in time for your next adventure. Ready when you are.

Rewarded with kind words like beautiful and wondeful to describe time spent here is quite amazing.

To know that this space is enjoyed by others as much as it is enjoyed by us.

Thank you for enjoying our space!!

When I built a treehouse, I was selfish. I wanted my family to have this space we could go to and enjoy. It was perfect, especially during covid, to have a place to find solitude in a busy house. I think we all got to use it for that when we needed it.

Now that I am not so selfish with our space, I get to enjoy the benefits of sharing it.

Opening the space to others to make memories.

Providing a place for others to find solitude away from society.

A place for other people to do things for the first time, like go camping.

A place for people to grow along their journey.

Fun fact, atleast 1 couple has gotten engaged to be married here. 2 people thought this was the perfect place to commit to a life together.

This is my first time making a treehouse, and when I take the time to slow down, and appreciate what it has become, it makes it a really really special place to so many people.

I just needed to come out to this space and find some solitude to realize that the real value comes when I can provide a space for others to be happy and peaceful too.

One of our favorite updates to the treehouse is the outdoor shower.

We transplanted the moss from other parts of our property to line the stones.

I'm going to put some better pavers down though, because those round rocks are kinda challenging to shower on.

We re-purposed a 55g tank, and used some swing tubing to be able to fill the tank as needed from the house until we get a handheld.

This also, once I get the plumbing done, will feed the sink at the outdoor kitchen.
