Tolland MA Volunteer Fire Department The Tolland Volunteer Fire Department is a tax-exempt organization qualified by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501C(3) organization.

Contributions are tax deductible. About Us

The Department is responsible for:

Fire protection service to the town, including putting out fires

Emergency rescues, including cold water rescue, motor vehicle exctrication, large animal rescue

Emergency medical services through First Response and EMT services (coordinated with mutual aid ambulance services)

Inspecting smoke detectors upon sale of a house

Inspecting Fuel Oil burners and tanks when installed, removed, or modified in any way

Monitor fuel tank installations and removals to assure conformance with environmental and safety laws

Permitting and monitoring blasting sites

Management of hazardous materials storage and spills

Permitting storage and use of gun powder and pyrotechnics (including fireworks)
