We celebrate this great day of joy and hope with tremendous gratitude.

There are still multiple moving parts as it relates to census building for Western Sky. But work is underway and progress is being made.

It is worthy to note that on this Easter Day Western Sky Community Care Center is open, operational and with residents.

We would like to exspress appreciation to our State Representatives for participating, to Senior Insight and Tim Groshans for helping us get this far.

But most importantly Thanks Community. This is truly a community effort. Without community action it's just "talk".

Governor Pillen has reached out to the Board of Western Sky Community Care Center, advising he will not be able attend the March 21st Open House as originally planned.

The Governor is making himself available to participate in the second dignified transfer of remains for the Bellevue, Nebraska, soldier who gave the ultimate sacrifice on March 1, 2026, while serving in Kuwait.

The board fully supports his decision. The governor may be able to visit to our new facility for a Grand Opening celebration in April.Governor Jim Pillen

We are sending up thoughts and prayers for the residents and staff at the Garden County Health Services Nursing Home. We pray that the residents stay strong in health as the staff works hard to keep them safe from these fires and all that involves.

We are grateful for all the emergency services workers that are fighting these fires. And grateful that we live in a part of this great nation where people come together and take care of each other. Please be careful out there.

The open house will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. mtn, and is open to all. Come see this new beautiful facility designed for exceptional resident care and focus.

With regret, the board of Western Sky is announcing the cancellation of the 2026 Valentine’s Gala. Refunds have been made for those who purchased tickets.

We made this difficult decision as a board after considering several factors: community scheduling, conflicts, and a shortage of supporting staff like servers proved too much to overcome.

We are focused on our upcoming open house and plans are well underway for that event. It will be held on March 21 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Western Sky. Brief comments from special dignitary guests are planned at 2:00 p.m. Everyone will be able to tour this beautiful new facility.

Please put March 21st on your calendar and plan to come and celebrate with us what community can do when we share a vision!
