Another fantastic Christmas gift giving season is coming down the home stretch. What started off as a slow year donation wise went into hyperdrive. Thanks to a successful disc golf tournament (Thank you Jace), continued support from Orangebloods.com, and MANY others we are able to provide Christmas gifts to over 150 kids this year.

While we continued our amazing partnership with Just Because JBMHope we also spread our wings a lot more in the Marble Falls area. We reached out to individuals asking if they knew people in need and we listened to others stories and offered assistance. With all the flooding in Burnet and Marble Falls areas it felt so good to be of some assistance.

A ginormous thank you to Cathy Baker Bittick She is the engine behind everything we do. She shopped, wrapped and boxed every gift we gave this season. She is just simply a rockstar and none of this happens without her.

Finally, I want to remind everyone out there the greatest lesson I have learned through all this.

When we hurt the most is when we should give the most.

We all have loss in our lives that leaves holes in our heart. These holes are only exacerbated during the holiday season. I highly recommend going out and doing an act of kindness in the name of that person or situation. It has helped me immensely.

We celebrated Thanksgiving, so that means it is time to start Brody's Gift Christmas Gift Drive (16th Annual).
A reminder that Brody's Gift is an approved tax deductible 501c3 charity so all donations are eligible for write-off(tax id is on our website www.brodysgift.org).
We like to get each child a warm outfit and one or two gifts off their wish list. Plus each family gets a gift card for food. So we need to raise $100 per a child. We do have several ways you can donate.
1) Paypal- All payments through paypal should be made to [email protected]. We will then use the funds to purchase gifts for you in your honor.
2) By mail- Make checks payable to Brody's Gift. Address is 2403 Belaire East Lane, Granite Shoals, TX 78654(new address)
3) Venmo -Gift and will use the funds to purchase gifts for you in your honor.

As you head to Christmas Eve services tonight or spend a moment with your family, please take some time to say a prayer for all our Brody's Gift families that have lost a child. For so many of us, Christmas is a joyous time. However, many of these families are experiencing their first Christmas (or more) with out their child. It is not an easy time for them. Please pray that God grant them peace and comfort and joy throughout the Christmas season.

This year will be very different then past years. We are only going to be able to give each child a $50 gift card to a store and then each family will receive a gift card for food. So we need to raise $75 per a child. We do have several ways you can donate.
