For more than twenty years, the Granite Falls School District (GFSD) Food & Gift Drive has been a labor of love each December. Our entire district comes together to support local families and students in our community—an effort made possible only through the dedication of students, staff, alumni, and community partners.
This year presented significant challenges, including lower-than-expected food donations and a major windstorm that delayed deliveries and pickups. Despite these obstacles, our community once again rose to the occasion with remarkable generosity and determination. Through these collective efforts, we were able to support more than 153 families and 380 children during the holiday season.
Steeped in tradition and grounded in a deep sense of care for one another, the Granite Falls community consistently steps up to support neighbors in need. The GFSD Food & Gift Drive is a powerful reflection of our community’s compassion, empathy, and commitment to putting Love in Action.
We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed—those who donated gifts, food, toiletries, financial support, and countless volunteer hours. Thank you to our students, staff, alumni, local businesses, and community members whose generosity made this work possible.
A special acknowledgment goes to Grandview Property Management for their extraordinary support. By adopting more than 100 children and providing fresh food, toiletries, and supplemental groceries, they once again played a vital role in the success of this year’s drive. By the numbers:
• 153 families adopted through the GFSD Food & Gift Drive
• 380 children received holiday gifts
• 15,000 food and household items collected
• Over $24,000 in donations
Once again, thank you to everyone who came together to make a meaningful difference. This season was a powerful demonstration of Love in Action, and we are deeply grateful for your continued support.
