Fueled by JOY - isn’t He good? Isn’t He Faithful? 🙌 We are about to step into our weekly outreaches this week, and last week is still fresh on our hearts. Our first back to school event for the year in partnership with YES Communities and LMCU with volunteers from New Life serving alongside our core team. Smash burgers were a hit! And face painting lines never stopped. Kids were blessed with supplies for school. And we can’t forget BINGO - the prizes were fun for everyone and the energy all night was 💥. What a gift to get to serve the community.

Praising God for the ability to share amazing produce with the community this week! We are so grateful for community partners like Family Food Network of Wyoming and Kent District Library who come alongside us to serve. We are better together. The community was blessed - there are more people living with food insecurity than we might imagine, and it all helps.

It’s been HOT outside 🥵 and the work continues. Prepping, serving, loving, visiting, loading and unloading…it’s simple, it’s tangible, and it’s needed.

When we show up week after week we are positioned to impact lives in ways that would not be possible without proximity. And it’s not just the lives of people getting a meal; it’s our lives, our volunteers lives, our donors lives, and the families of people we get to connect with. By the grace of God, the impact trickles in ways we never could have imagined.

Come join us! Sweat a little, laugh a lot, serve some food, and meet some new friends. You won’t regret it 💛

Right now, in our city, there are families without beds. Many of them are children. Many of them are families who recently got out of homelessness or domestic abuse situations, single moms working hard to keep the family together.

These families are connected to and working with local agencies who have vetted them and are advocating on their behalf. We have the opportunity to step in and meet this need - to be the hands and feet of Jesus and show up with beds AND shine with the hope that is available in Him.

We want to get these families up off the ground. You can be involved in 2 ways:

First week for our 2nd site on Taft Ave is in the books 🙌 and man did we have an incredible night. The community came out, they jumped in and helped, the volunteers were amazing as always, and we are full of joy and expectation at what God wants to do. This is how to show up to love a city. This is how we become the hands and feet of Jesus. This is how the Church becomes the Church. Come, join us! We have a spot for you 💛
