🎙️ New episode of reIMAGED out today: Do You Know the Father's Heart for Life?

Kurt Dillinger was a pastor. He was against abortion and preparing to teach his church about it. Then, reading Genesis 1:26–27 in his devotional time, he thought he heard, "Kurt, you don't know My heart."

That moment broke him, and it began a 40-year journey of growing in the heart of the Father for life. In this episode, LIFE International's president and founder joins Chris and Alissa as our first guest to share that story and where it led: why this issue is primarily spiritual and not primarily political, why its rightful place is in the Church, and what it looks like to live it out in a way that is life-giving.

It all comes back to the gospel. The most profound pro-life initiative in history is when the Father sent His Son to die on the cross for you and me.

Transformation looks different in every life.
For one participant, it meant receiving forgiveness and healing. For another, it meant a transformed worldview. For others, it meant gaining the confidence and urgency to speak and serve more boldly.
Different ages. Different roles. Different communities.
But the same powerful truth is being shared and carried home.
This is what multiplication looks like.

"If you don't provide diapers, pay for education, and check every box on this list, you're not truly pro-life."

We've all seen this argument online. Alissa humbly pushes back. Life is the first human right, the one everything else is built on. Being called to a specialized ministry doesn't make you inconsistent. And the assumption that pro-life ministries don't do more couldn't be further from the truth. As Chris points out, many pregnancy resource centers offer long-term help, from financial training to housing. It's not just diapers.

Even without all of that, working to end abortion and helping people choose life is worthwhile, biblical, and consistent.

Nothing, at first.

Luke, our Pastor of Partner Care, walks through James 1:19: be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to become angry. Whether you're a parent, pastor, mentor, friend, or even a stranger, your first job is to understand what they're facing and how they're feeling. If you notice anger rising, take it as a cue to slow down and give it to the Lord, so your response can reflect the Father's love.

This past week, we had the Journey of a Life-Giver training at our home base in Grand Rapids. 🤍
Pastors, ministry leaders, and friends gathered to explore what Scripture reveals about the value of human life and what it looks like to practically live that truth out with compassion, conviction, and grace.
Our prayer is that what began in the training room continues into churches, families, ministries, and everyday conversations.
We’re grateful for each person who came ready to learn, reflect, and take the next step toward becoming a life-giver.

That line from the story of Joseph changes how we see life in the womb, even in the most heartbreaking circumstances.

When the hardest cases come up, Chris and Alissa keep coming back to one question: what is in the womb? It's still a human life, an image bearer with purpose.
