Hero's Heart Hero's Heart is a non-profit animal rescue and adoption organization based in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, with a hub in the Twin Cities metro area.

We also work in collaboration with partner organizations on animal welfare reform. We are Candid Platinum.

Say hello to Chandler, a three month old puppy with an already gorgeous black coat, white chest, and matching white toes!

He's got puppy energy for days, a heart full of love, and a serious passion for fetch! 🎾 He's already a pro at settling into his kennel at bedtime, too, so he knows how to be a good boy when it matters.

Chandler's got a lot of growing left to do, and he's hoping to do it with a family who's ready for the adventure. 🐾💕

Meet Mia, short for Mi Amore—and this girl has A LOT of love to give! 🥰

Mia was found as a pregnant stray and was an amazing mom to her five kittens. Now it’s her turn to be someone’s baby!

Mia is the kind of cat who seems to have it all. She’s extremely friendly, affectionate, playful, and full of spunky energy. She loves laps, chin rubs, head scratches, sunny windows, toys, treats, and even greeting visitors at the door!

Even better? Mia has lived happily with kids, cats, and dogs, making her a wonderful fit for a busy household.

Mia is ready to trade her days of being a stray and a momma for a life filled with sunshine, snuggles, playtime, and a family to love. ❤️

Almost one year. That’s how long sweet Millie has been waiting for someone to call her theirs.

Millie may not be the cat who runs up and greets you right away. She likes to take her time, observe her new humans, and decide when she’s ready to trust. But once she does… she’s a sweet snuggler! ❤️

She’s the perfect mix of independent and affectionate—happy to do her own thing, but always ready to love her people once she knows them.

After nearly a year in foster, Millie deserves her forever home. Please don’t overlook her simply because she needs a little time. Give her a chance to show you just how special she is.

Lucky went to a foster home today after patiently waiting for a while now! Huge thank you to Bubbles and Bows for giving her such great care while she was there! She clearly loved the staff and they loved her too! This gave her such a great start in transitioning to her next experience.

Kitten Alert‼️ 🚨

**Update** Kitten appears to be 4 weeks old and in stable condition.**♥️♥️

A Good Samaritan found this kitten after mom was hit on the road near the apartments by the YMCA in Grand Rapids. There may be more kittens in that area. Please watch, look, and listen for more kittens. If found, please contact us. We’ll update this post with approximate age of kitten once the kitten is in our care later tonight. Thank you.
