Tonight’s Gratoria Group gathering is being rescheduled. A few people who planned to come had to cancel, and I want these spaces to feel full and connected when we gather.

We’ll begin again in May, and our first gathering will be at the garden. It feels like the right way to start this next part.

We had such a great turnout for the Community Veterinary Forum.

It really meant a lot to see so many people show up, listen, and be part of something that feels important for this community.

We’re going through everything we learned and gathered from those who attended, and moving forward in a way that best supports the needs of the community.

Our next Gratoria Group gathering is on April 23.

If you’d like to come, please RSVP so we can share the location and create a space that feels right for everyone there.

We’re also starting to bring in a new piece.

Gratoria Grove Farms is becoming part of what we’re building. A place for learning, growing, and connecting with the earth in a hands-on, grounded, outdoor way, alongside the animals and within the living environment.

It’s all starting to come together.

If you’ve been wondering whether to come to the veterinary forum… this is your sign.

We’re getting everything ready for the upcoming Community Veterinary Forum, and I wanted to share a little piece of what we’re building.

For families coming, Bella will be hosting a small “Kid Corner” where kids can bring a stuffed animal and do a fun little check-up using these animal clinic sheets. It’s just a simple, hands-on way to keep them engaged while we have an important conversation as a community.

This forum matters.

We’re coming together to talk about what veterinary care could look like here in Grand Marais, what’s missing, and how we can support something sustainable moving forward. This isn’t just information, it’s a chance to show that our community cares enough to build something better.

If you’ve ever struggled to find care, had to travel, or felt the gap that exists here… this is the space to be part of that conversation.

We’ll have coffee, tea, light snacks and a welcoming space to connect.

Come as you are.
Bring your questions.
Bring your voice.
Bring your kids.

This is one of those moments where showing up really matters.

If we want better access to veterinary care in our community, this is where it starts.

I picked up the first load of cans today.

Nothing big or official.

Just getting it started.

This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while.

A simple way for the community to come together and support local animals and future veterinary access.

It doesn’t have to be perfect.
It just has to begin.

If you’ve been saving cans or want to be part of it, I’ll be sharing more soon.

For now… this is the first step.

Gratoria Group
will be gathering again
on March 19 at 6:30 PM
at the Grand Marais Community Center.

These gatherings are simply a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with ourselves and our community. There is nothing to fix and nothing to perform.

Just time to slow down, write, share if you wish, and reset for the season ahead.

This month's theme is Reset Spring Gathering.
Free and open to the community.

I’m excited to share this upcoming event where we’ll gather to talk about local animal care needs, rural vet access, and what expanded mobile services might look like in our community.
