Last week we had our Instalation dinner and Awards. It was fun to celebrate our wins and each other. 🎉
Here are our award winners: 🏆
Kel recieved an Oscar, Tiffany Howell was our Volunteer of the Year, Michelle Arnold recieved the New-bee award., Kate Holmes recieved the Participation Award, Heidi Pool received the Directors award and Jere Zimmerman recieved the Sweet Adleline of the year.

Congratulations NOLA STEPHEN’S on your 50th year as a member of Sweet Adelines International. You’ve been such a great member. Here’s Nola’s story:
“I was PTA President in 1975 at my children’s school…and it was at that first meeting, when I became acquainted with chorus members and was introduced to Sweet Adelines by Barb Mack. I came home and told my husband…”I’ve found a group of women who sing and are so good…and, I want to be a part of their family!” My PTA term was over…1976…I was free to pursue this amazing hobby…and I have never looked back! I knew with my musical background, I could hear the Baritone easily, so I fully immersed myself in the music. I sang in my first quartet in 1983…”THE HUMAN ERRORS”, which was a comedy quartet (our Bass had her own TV show and appeared with Red Skelton)…she was a natural-born comic! We competed in our first Show…and she stole the show…even the Judges commented on how entertaining we were…My 2nd Quartet..””JUNCTION JAZZ” was in the ’90’s, and again we had a great time singing together for several years. Grand Mesa Chorus has seen many women. At one point we had 60 on the risers, but we also have had as low as 15 on the stage. I had to transfer to a smaller chorus for a while, but after 3 years, I came back to Grand Mesa A Ca****la. We have 2 amazing Directors who helped us take “First Place Small Chorus” at this year’s Competition. How lucky I’ve been to be associated with all these wonderful ladies, and give my “musical family” something to be proud of. I’M SO PROUD TO BE A SWEET ADELINE!

What wonderful, fun and exciting weekend we had. We are so pleased to place as first small chorus and 4th overall.

Friends & Family, April 13, 2026 was a huge success last night! We got to sing to a full house and we all thank everyone for coming! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed singing for you! Our quartets, Center Stage and Steppin’ Up’ performed their contest numbers and Somethin’s Cookin’ quartet got to sing their last tune together with a guest Bass. A big thank you to all our guest performers: Bookcliff Harmony Chorus, Canyon Grand Quartet, Generation’s Quartet, and this year’s scholarship winner, Annie Maasch. You all helped us make it a spectacular evening! Next weekend we get to head to Colorado Springs to perform for Region 8!
