The Italian Litter Is Officially ALL Adopted! 🖤

S’more was adopted today! ❤️

And that means the last little member of our very appropriately named Italian litter has officially found his forever home.

There was Espresso, Cannoli, Spumoni, Earl Gray… and S’more — because apparently we decided this litter needed to cover the entire dessert-and-beverage menu. 😂

These little guys came in together, grew up together, and one by one found families of their own. Today, it was S’more’s turn.

Look at that face. He looks like he's already wondering why it took his people so long to find him. 😼

Happy tails, S’more! We’re so happy you got your happily ever after!

And with that… the Italian litter is officially CLOSED!

🎤❤️ BREAKING NEWS: TEENY TINY TINA TURNER HAS LEFT THE BUILDING! ❤️🎤

After a dramatic beginning, several medical treatments, a whole lot of screaming, and enough attitude to fill an arena...

Tiny Tina has officially been ADOPTED!

And judging by her expression in this picture, we're not entirely sure she approved the adoption. 😂

She appears to be thinking:

"These are my people?"

"Okay..."

"I'll give them a chance."

"But let's be very clear about who's in charge here."

Tina arrived at VCA as a tiny, very sick 4-week-old kitten with her eyes matted shut and a nasty upper respiratory infection that required breathing treatments. She fought her way back to health, gained weight, grew into an absolutely gorgeous little girl...
..and somehow found two humans willing to take on all that personality. 😂❤️

To Tina's new family: Congratulations!

You didn't just adopt a kitten.

You adopted a tiny, fluffy, loud, opinionated rock star who will probably expect to be fed, entertained, admired, and consulted on all major household decisions.

May God help you. 😂

And Tina...

Go be fabulous. 🎤❤️

Your comeback tour has officially moved to a new venue.

We couldn't be happier for you, Tiny Tina. 🐾❤️

🐾 Meet Brownie! ❤️

Our friends at Animal Medical Clinic - Grand Island, Nebraska have asked us to help spread the word about a very handsome young guy who is looking for his forever home!

Brownie is a 6-month-old male mixed-breed puppy who is full of personality, energy and puppy enthusiasm. 🐶

Brownie is a smart boy who wants to please and loves to play, snuggle and be around his people. Like many young puppies, he is still learning his manners — especially when he gets excited! He's also working on understanding that personal space is a thing. 😂

He will need someone who understands that puppies don't come perfectly trained. With patience, consistency, training and lots of love, Brownie has all the makings of a wonderful companion.

He's young, he's adorable, and he's ready for someone willing to help him grow into the great dog we know he can be. ❤️

Brownie is available for adoption through Animal Medical Clinic.

📞 For more information about Brownie, please call or message Animal Medical Clinic directly.

Let's help Brownie find the person who is going to fall in love with that face and give this sweet boy the forever home he's looking for! 🐾❤️

Please share! Sometimes the right person is just one Facebook share away. 🥰

💤 Monday night mood. 😂❤️

Helen and Stanley have the right idea.

Find a friend.
Get comfy.
Forget about Monday.
Go to sleep. 😂🐾

And just in case you were wondering… these two are STILL available for adoption — together!

They clearly think they make a pretty great pair, and we’d love to see them find a home where they can continue their cuddle sessions.

Maybe their perfect person is scrolling Facebook tonight… 👀🐾

Goodnight from VCA! ❤️

🐾 Meet Snickels! 🐾

6-year-old Maltese/Yorkie mix • Owner Surrender

Sometimes a dog doesn’t need a whole lot of things.

She just needs her person. ❤️

Meet Snickels, a sweet 6-year-old Maltese/Yorkie mix who recently came to Voice for Companion Animals as an owner surrender. Her vaccinations are all up to date, and she is already spayed and microchipped.

Snickels is looking for someone who will make her feel like she is truly their girl. She loves attention and would really like a person who has plenty of time to give her affection, companionship and all those little moments that make a dog feel special.

She has lived with other dogs and does well with them, so having canine friends is just fine with her. She also does well with cats—and apparently finds them rather interesting!

Snickels does have a dental procedure scheduled for the first part of September. We want to make sure those pearly whites get the attention they need so she can start the next chapter of her life feeling her best.

Now we're looking for the person who looks at this little face and thinks:

“Yep. She's my girl.” ❤️

If you think Snickels might be the little companion you've been looking for, come meet her at Voice for Companion Animals!

🎉🐾 WE DID IT. WE HIT 100! 🐾🎉

One year ago, Voice for Companion Animals launched Spay/Neuter - GI with a simple goal: make spay and neuter more affordable for qualifying Grand Island pet owners.

Today, we reached a milestone we are incredibly proud of:

100 SPAYS & NEUTERS! 🎉

That's 100 dogs and cats who have been spayed or neutered through our program.

And there's something especially important about that number.

These aren't 100 surgeries performed somewhere across the country.
They're 100 local pets.
And they're 100 surgeries performed by local veterinarians.

And we know what that number represents.

🐾 Fewer unwanted litters.
🐾 Fewer animals entering shelters and rescues.
🐾 Healthier, happier pets.
🐾 Families who were able to do the right thing for their animals because help was available.

100 is a BIG deal. A HUGE deal!

And we're going to celebrate it! ❤️

STAY TUNED for a special 100 Spays & Neuters Celebration! We'll have treats, a special display celebrating the 100 pets we've helped, information about the program, and our new SPAY • NEUTER • SAVES LIVES wristbands available for a donation.

And because we're not stopping at 100...

Our next goal is 200. 🐾

We couldn't have reached 100 without the incredible local veterinarians who participate in Spay/Neuter - GI, our donors, our volunteers, and everyone who has believed in the idea that prevention is part of the solution.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us reach 100.

Now let's see what we can do next. ❤️🐾

100 down. 100 more to go.

21/08/2026

Some days in rescue are full of happy endings, wagging tails, adoptions and happy tears. ❤️

And then there are days like today.

The days when the problems seem bigger than the solutions. When there are too many animals who need us, too many things that need fixing, too many decisions to make and not enough hours in the day. When rescue feels less like the feel-good work people see on Facebook and more like the exhausting, messy, sometimes heartbreaking reality that it really is.

But here's the thing…

The animals don't know what kind of day we're having.

They still need breakfast.
They still need clean kennels.
They still need medication, fresh water and a little attention.
They still need someone to believe their best days are ahead of them.

So we keep showing up.

Not because every day is easy.
Not because every problem has a simple solution.
And certainly not because we always feel like we have it all together.

We show up because they're worth showing up for.

Tomorrow might be a better day. Hopefully it is.

But today, we're here.

And sometimes, that's enough. ❤️

Voice for Companion Animals
Because every animal deserves someone who doesn't give up on them.
