Welcoming Week may have taken place last month, but the connections built and joy created from the events is something that will continue to be felt.
We are so grateful to all of the organizations that hosted events and to all of the community members that took time to come and meet new people, learn new things, and be part of making Grand Island a more welcoming place.
Welcoming work is a year-round effort, but it's always so reenergizing to have the marathon of events to remind us of what we are all working for, which is to build a community where all can truly feel like they are welcomed and they belong.
Aunque la Semana de Bienvenida se celebró el mes pasado, las conexiones que se crearon y la alegría que compartimos durante los eventos seguirán presentes en nuestra comunidad.
Estamos muy agradecidos con todas las organizaciones que organizaron eventos y con cada miembro de la comunidad que se tomó el tiempo para conocer a nuevas personas, aprender cosas nuevas y contribuir a que Grand Island sea un lugar más acogedor para todos.
El trabajo para construir una comunidad acogedora se realiza durante todo el año, pero siempre es muy motivador vivir esta maratón de eventos que nos recuerda por qué trabajamos juntos: para construir una comunidad donde todas las personas se sientan verdaderamente bienvenidas y sepan que pertenecen a ella.
