Southside Neighborhood Association

Southside Neighborhood Association Connecting neighbors in the greater Southside Neighborhood area of Grand Haven, Michigan.

If you would like to be on the SNA roster to get neighborhood related emails, you need to opt-in by sending your address and contact information to [email protected]. There are just a few SNA activity-related emails each year, you can opt-out at any time, and your contact information will not be sold or shared. If you know of new neighbors or others who are not on the roster, please e

ncourage them to contact us directly as people will be added only by direct request. After Facebook implemented the "new pages experience" in 2021-2022, friends were no longer able to add a post to the Southside Neighborhood Association page. However, you can have your post shared on the SNA page by:
Creating a PUBLIC post on your own profile and TAG Southside Neighborhood Association page. If you are a SNA Facebook friend/follower, just type "@" and then start typing "Southside Neighborhood Association" an active tag will be created. Once the administrator is notified of the mention, your post will be shared. Relevant posts the City of Grand Haven, other local organizations, and neighbors will be shared in the SNA news feed. As much as the SNA administrator would like to help neighbors with their messages, posts will NOT be created for others so that transparency, authenticity, and origin of information is ensured. Similarly, because all roster members were promised that their contact information would be used only for SNA activities and not shared with others, the SNA admin will not forward your email messages to roster members. The Southside Neighborhood Association is an inclusive community, so the roster and activities are open to anyone who lives, works, owns property, or is otherwise affiliated with the greater Southside Neighborhood of Grand Haven, Michigan (loosely defined by Franklin to Duncan Park and Harbor to Beacon). Former neighbors, friends of neighbors, and anyone with an interest in neighborhood preservation is welcome! "Like" our page to keep current with neighborhood events, share information relevant to the area, and network with neighbors. (Please note that the City of Grand Haven's official neighborhood boundaries are slightly more limited; see

Remember: Turn OFF porch lights if you are NOT giving away treats and porch lights on if you have treats.
Have a safe and fun Halloween, neighbors!

Lots of opportunities for trick-or-treating around the city this upcoming week!

We want everyone to have a fun and safe Halloween, so please keep these safety tips in mind to help everyone get home safely at the end of the night:

Stick to well-lit areas and use sidewalks when possible.

Carry a flashlight or glow sticks to stay visible.

Remind kids to look both ways before crossing the street.

Inspect all treats before eating them.

And remember — our officers will be out and about helping keep everyone safe!

Have a spooktacular (and safe) Trick-or-Treat.
