🚲 Happy World Bicycle Day! 🌍

Bicycles help connect people to their communities, provide accessible transportation, and create healthier, more sustainable places to live. At LWV GGF, we believe strong communities are built when people have opportunities to participate, engage, and make their voices heard.

Whether it’s biking to work, school, a community event, or even to the polls, every ride is a reminder that civic engagement starts close to home.

As early voting begins, consider biking to your polling place if you’re able! 🚴‍♀️🗳 Supporting sustainable transportation and participating in democracy can go hand in hand.

Today we celebrate the ways bicycles bring people together, strengthen communities, and help move us all forward toward a healthier and more connected future.

Welcome June! 💐💐💐

We are beginning the month with early voting and ending it with our membership picnic, with plenty of opportunities for engagement in between. 🎉

📬🗳 Turn in your absentee ballots as soon as possible or show up in person during the early voting period for a hassle-free voting experience. Voting Day in North Dakota is Tuesday, June 9.

We are excited to welcome League members to observe our board meetings and take part in the planning process. Whether you are a longtime member or newly involved, we would love to have you join the conversation and share your ideas.

☕ Saturday Coffee Conversations were a hit in May and will continue in June at Ember Coffee House! We meet upstairs near the playroom — kids are welcome! Bring a friend, grab a coffee, and connect with others who care about civic engagement in our community.

New resource! Our volunteer Katlyn created a voter guide that we sent to North Dakota jails to support eligible voters in casting their ballot for June 9th.

The guide includes voter eligibility requirements, how to get an absentee ballot application, and candidate responses in state and federal races from VOTE411.org.

✨Thank you to the jail staff who support eligible voters and to our volunteers for supporting this project!

Burleigh, Cass, Grand Forks, Morton, Stark, Stutsman, and Ward counties will be offering early voting for the Primary Election. This gives voters the opportunity to vote at a polling location before election day. Go to https://vote.nd.gov/myvotinginfo to see early voting polling locations, dates, and times.
