Recently we had the pleasure of learning from the amazing board and staff of "Mountain Meadows" about their journey to bring assisted living and memory care to Leavenworth, WA. It was a beautiful moment of encouragement to our team to see their building and management styles that closely align with ours so that we continue to maintain our vision moving forward.

This work isn't easy. There are many moments as an all- volunteer, local grassroots team where we have to regain our perspective and zoom out from the day-to-day details to make sure we're steering the course. But seeing "Mountain Meadows" was a glass of cool water. We left energized to continue the work we've set out to accomplish.

Currently, we are hard at work with many moving pieces this summer. We are finishing paperwork and processes required to pull down federal funds that have been awarded. We are working on our proforma and lending picture to be best prepared for lending meetings. Fundraising is still ongoing to show lenders our local support. Advocating at the state and federal levels is still in motion. We are continuing design and building prep, meetings with local partners and keeping you all informed. It's an ever moving, ever evolving work, but you're worth it! 🙌

🪧Capital Campaign Progress as of June! We are so grateful to celebrate the continued support of for a second year in a row! Truly this project would not be taking shape without her backing.

🙌 .foundation has generously awarded us a $100K grant for work on the gym remodel. Their support demonstrates our local buy-in and partnerships.

⭐We continue to be amazed by the generosity of our donors here in The Coulee. This is an essential part of the funding puzzle and we are getting closer every month to our goal.

🧡Board Member Highlight: Ruth Randolph, Board Secretary🧡

Senior care has been a long standing passion for Ruth since a young age when she cared for her grandmother after a hip replacement surgery and knew she wanted to be a nurse. After serving as an RN for over 10 years in the field (several locally at CMC) it was very clear to Ruth that we needed an option for Coulee Seniors to age here at home that embodied connection, community and care. ⭐

Ruth embraces a community mindset. Now having lived in Coulee Dam for 4 years with her husband and two children, she has observed the needs here and is motivated to become an advocate for the aging population here and bring a fresh perspective to our town from her various life experiences. In addition, she wears many other hats in The Coulee, overseeing youth soccer and the Coulee Parks and Rec District Chair Commissioner. ⚡

While in many ways joining our board is a new endeavor for Ruth, she has longstanding leadership skills and experiences that have shaped her mindset to get things done and become a change maker. She doesn't shy away from learning something new. We are grateful for her passion and dedication to see this project become a reality. 🙌

💙Celebrate with CSL!💙

First, We made list for funding for 2027. $650,000 for work on the gym! Thank you for supporting this project for a second year in a row. You are helping us make huge strides towards this project getting off the ground! We wouldn't be here without you.

Second, we have raised over $520,000 locally in gifts and pledges, that's over 0.5 Million dollars!!!!! Wowzah! Thanks for showing up and supporting this project in huge ways. This would not be made possible without you. Keep it up friends.
