Well the 2025 SWAGA tournament at the Hideout Resort & Country Club is in the books. Congratulations to all the winners and a big thanks to all the sponsors that made it happen. Thanks Rackin' Up Dreams Outdoors Cooking Team (Dobbie & Buddy Preston, Connie & Larry Hart) Early Event Center (Denise Brian) for serving up a wonderful ribeye steak dinner with all the trimmings for all the participants. Thanks United Supermarket for the awesome steaks that we prepared for everyone!

The FedEx Cup and 2025 PGA Tour Championship is behind us now. Congratulations to Tommy Fleetwood…he longer has to answer reporter questions about when he’ll get his 1st PGA win! And he did it on a really tough golf course in dramatic fashion.

Now we can focus on another exciting tournament, SWAGA’s final tournament of 2025 on September 27th & 28th. Registration deadline is Sept 12th. Hotel rooms at the SWAGA group rate are limited…when they’re gone they really are gone. SWAGA’s group rate is $110/night single or $120/night double will save you $60+ for a 2-night stay. Don’t forget a very nice meal Saturday night, a quick BOD/membership annual meeting, then off to the sports bar to binge watch The Ryder Cup tournament day 2 highlights. USA, USA, USA!

We’d like to have 60+ players. Currently there’s 30 something players registered.

Okay, all golf enthusiasts can take a collective breath, relax for a couple days to recover from the thrilling finale of the BMW Championship before the FedEx Cup Tour Championship begins. Can Scottie defend his title? Congrats to Scottie Scheffler for an exciting back 9 to turn a 4 shot deficit to a 2 stroke win. How about the extraordinary chip in birdie on #17?

Speaking of exciting tournaments, SWAGA is hosting the final tournament of 2025 on September 27th & 28th. Registration deadline is Sept 12th to give tournament planners time to make final preparations based on the number of players registered on that date. Hotel rooms at the SWAGA group rate aren’t unlimited…when they’re gone they really are gone. Regular online rates at the Early Holiday Inn Express are currently $142-$151/night, SWAGA group rate is $110/night single or $120/night double. The $60+ savings might pay for your round trip fuel bill, maybe an adult beverage while watching The Ryder Cup tournament. USA, USA, USA!

We’d like to have 60+ players. Currently there’s 28 players registered.

FYI - Saturday evening players dinner will once again be hosted by City of Early at their very nice Visitor's center. Food will again be provided by Larry Hart of Rackin' Up Dreams Outdoors.

As this is the final tournament for 2025, the SWAGA Board of Directors will conduct an annual business meeting and election of new officers for a couple of expiring terms. All members in attendance will be able to nominate and/or vote for new board members.
