Pioneer Valley Little League would like to thank everyone who came out and participated in our first-ever MLB Pitch, Hit & Run event at Goshen Ballfields. We were excited to have 17 athletes register for the competition and appreciate the tremendous support from our players, parents, families, volunteers, and the Town of Goshen.
MLB Pitch, Hit & Run is an official Major League Baseball skills competition where boys and girls compete in pitching, hitting, and running for advancement opportunities throughout the MLB Pitch, Hit & Run competition system. All official scores from our event were successfully submitted to Major League Baseball within the required timeframe and accepted for advancement consideration.
As a first-year event, we learned a great deal and are excited to continue building and improving future events and youth baseball and softball opportunities within our community through Pioneer Valley Little League.
Congratulations to our official champions:
Baseball Champions
13–14: Colter H.
11–12: Karson W.
9–10: Grady H.
7–8: Hank J.
Softball Champions
13–14: Frankie C.
11–12: Jaycee H.
Participants advancing through the MLB Pitch, Hit & Run process will hear more from Major League Baseball in the coming months regarding district and regional advancement opportunities later this season.
Our next MLB Pitch, Hit & Run event will be held June 13th in Payson at the Gene Hillman Recreation Center, Field 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for anyone interested in participating or continuing in the competition.
Thank you again to everyone who participated and helped make our first MLB Pitch, Hit & Run event a success. We look forward to seeing everyone again at future Pioneer Valley Little League events and during league sign-ups later this year.
