Tomorrow is the big day!!!
The Duck Derby returns to Ekone park with activities and giveaways starting at noon. There will be some snack and beverage items available for sell if you have cash, but there are no food vendors. If you want to have lunch at the park, plan on packing a picnic.

Please note:
• If you have or want to purchase ducks check in at the Gazebo when you arrive. Additional prizes will be awarded between noon and 2 for attendees.
• You can still purchase ducks to participate in the race 1/$5 or 5/$20 at the Gazebo. Cash cards and Venmo accepted.
• The ducks will drop into the river at 2pm
• The drop sight in just north of the baseball fields. It is not over the singing bridge like last year.
• The finish line will be at the rocky area you first encounter when you walk directly from the parking lot to the river.
• If you buy a duck and want to collect it at the conclusion of the race you are welcome to. Please just be patient in letting us count the ducks to make sure we collect them all.
• Free books and a prize wheel will be available to kids at the gazebo.
• Balloon artist Hannah Markham will be there from 12:30 to 1:30 twisting up animals for the kids.

We are looking forward to a fun day!! Hope to see you there!!

🦆 What is a Duck Derby? 🦆

We’ve had several people ask, so here’s a quick explanation!

When you adopt a duck for $5 (or 5 ducks for $20), your duck is assigned a number and entered into the Goldendale Kiwanis Duck Derby.

On Saturday, June 13 at Ekone Park, hundreds of numbered rubber ducks will be released into the Little Klickitat River. The ducks race downstream, and the first ducks to cross the finish line win prizes!

🏆 Prizes awarded for:
🥇 1st Place
🥈 2nd Place
🥉 3rd Place
🐢 Last Duck

Plus, additional prizes will be awarded to those attending the event between noon and 2:00 PM!

All proceeds help the Goldendale Kiwanis Club provide free books to local children and scholarships to graduating seniors.

🎟 Adopt a duck:
🦆 1 Duck = $5
🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆 5 Ducks = $20

Join us for a fun community tradition and cheer your duck to victory!
