We have a request from our Eyeglass Recycling Center.

Currently, we have more sunglass orders from missions than we have in stock. Many missions will distribute sunglasses due to the importance of protecting eyes from the sun's rays (this is different from the wraparound sunglass request for cataract missions). These sunglasses are not prescription, but serve a very important role. If you have any sunglasses that you are no longer using, please drop them in your nearest donation bucket or send them to us at 3834 County Road A, Rosholt, WI 54473.

Thank you for your help!

We're working away on our camper applications. As of today we have 857 registered with 12 needing follow up phone calls, 55 waiting on educator information and 31 applications in processing.

A few notes on the sessions listed below:
1. Based on numbers, I will switch two cabins from male to female in our Blind or Visually Impaired session.
2. In diabetes session 2, we will be pushing female applications to session 1 or holding those applications until May 1, which is when I'll decide based on male camper numbers to switch one or two cabins for females.
3. Our young adults with intellectual disabilities is full with 147 campers (waiting on 3) and is not listed on this chart.

Our database issues are greatly improved - and we remind campers to check their spam accounts to ensure they are receiving our emails. If you have any issues applying please give us a call.

Keep spreading the word - we've still got room!

It's a program area feature today! We love our adventure course where we watch our campers and staff challenge themselves to climb, navigate and work through the various elements. The one element that seems to be the most nerve-wracking is the TruBlue exit - you get hooked in, and it lowers you down. But, you need to step off or slide off the platform to make that happen! So what emoji would you use to describe the thought of this exit from the top of the adventure course??

Since the early 2000s, we have been raising money for the building fund through the Wall of Honor. Believe it or not, every full block on the wall has officially been purchased! We now have a very limited supply of 1/2 blocks that we are selling for $250. By purchasing the 1/2 block, you can have a first and last name engraved on the Wall of Honor in the WLF Office. If you have been thinking about getting your name on the Wall of Honor, now is the time. Once these last few 1/2 blocks are sold, the Wall of Honor will be complete.

The community has really stepped up with the Wish List that we put out a couple of weeks ago.......so we had to make an update. Our latest wish list is current as of yesterday, March 10th.

We appreciate your support!

Good morning and Happy March! Camp Director Andrea here with an application update! Here's where we are:
67 blind or visually impaired adults are accepted
118 diabetes campers accepted
134 young adults with intellectual disabilities accepted (by invitation only)

I've processed 319 applications so far. I average about 20 applications an hour or so, depending on if they are a returning or a first time camper.

I have 214 applications ready for me to review, with 145 applications waiting on educator information (Michelle is emailing reminders to those educators). We have 34 applications waiting for payment making a total of 712 applications at Camp now. That's a lot but we're aiming for 1,200 campers so we've got lots of room for applications - 488 to be exact so let's work together to get those spaces filled. All sessions have plenty of room!

If you are a first time camper, your applications take me a little longer - and I'll be starting those tonight. I expect to have the rest of these applications mostly done by Friday so stay tuned for the numbers update then! Confirmations are being emailed so make sure to check your spam to ensure you get the email from the camper application database.

Thank you all for your patience!
