Gilmer Elementary PTO

We support GCES students by connecting parents, teachers, school staff, and community organizations.

Our objective is to provide the students of Gilmer County Elementary School the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential in a stimulating environment through the cooperative interaction of parents, guardians, teachers, administration, and community. The GCES PTO is composed of parents and guardians of students attending Gilmer County Elementary School, as well as teachers, school administrat

Bring your smiles and holiday cheer for Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus!

📍 Where: GCES Gym

Paper copies will be sent home on Monday, November 17, so families can sign up for their picture time! 📸❤️

Get ready for a holly jolly good time — Santa can’t wait to see all the GCES kids! 🎅🤶

Stuff Your Turkey to Pie a Teacher! 🦃

GCES is kicking off a fun (and slightly dangerous for teachers) contest!

WHEN: Wednesday, November 12 – Wednesday, November 19
WHERE: GCES

Bring in those coins, bills, couch-cushion treasures — we’re stuffing turkeys for a cause!

PRIZES:
✨ The class with the “Best of Show” turkey wins a sweet treat!
🥧 The homeroom that raises the most money gets to pie a teacher in the face!
(Yes… a pie. In the face. Teachers are nervous.)

Help support our school, have some laughs, and may the most stuffed turkey win! 🎉🦃

T-Shirt Orders

Grownups, your child should have brought home a T-Shirt order form Friday, or they will bring it home today. PTO is super excited about this fundraiser! Below are some comely asked questions.

1. Where to do mark the size? - Please just write the size shirt you or your child needs beside the order.
2. Who to make checks payable to? - Please make checks payable to GilmerCounty Elementary School.
3. When are orders due? - Orders are due by Friday, September 26, 2025.

Come join the Gilmer Elementary PTO on September 20,2025 for the Wildcat Wheels Car Show!! We will have lots of door prizes, Chinese raffles, food, and more! Registration starts at 10 am and ends at 1!! Bring out those classics and help support our kiddos!!

I hope everyone had an awesome first couple days of school! We have so many amazing and fun things planned for our students this year that we want to hit the ground running!

** Meetings will be the 3rd Monday of each month.**

Our first PTO meeting will be tomorrow Monday, August 18 at 4:00pm in Mrs. Rhoades’ classroom. Things we plan to discuss…
- The year at a glance. We have most of our events scheduled, but there are some changes and adjustments that need to be made.

* BOO BASH - we need to create our committee and make some decisions for this so planning can begin!
