AND THEN WE TURNED NINE!
Nine beautiful years of harvesting, donating, community, preventing waste, friendships, families, climbing trees, high schoolers, middle schoolers, elementary kids, earth day festival and so much more. Nine years of beautiful memories!

Thank you to everyone that supports us in any shape or form, and specially our amazing team and our fruit donors! It’s our birthday and we couldn’t be more grateful. We enjoyed the day with a party in the park with a culinary trip to, you guessed it, India! 😊

JUJUBE SEASON IS HERE!
It was picking one of our most favorite fruits, jujubes, this past weekend.
Jujube, also known as the Chinese date, is a nutritious fruit with a crisp, apple-like texture when fresh and a chewy, caramel-like flavor when dried, resembling a date. It’s rich in fiber, antioxidants, and vitamins, and has benefits like improved sleep and digestion.

We also harvested some surplus tomatoes and donated them to the local pantry. Thank you to our team and our generous donor, Norm, for the donation.

This past weekend, we picked some apples and oranges from our repeat donor Norm. The students from Glendora high school are on summer break so this was a great opportunity for them to get out and put their surplus time to good use.Thank you to the incredible Soraya and Jacob for coming along and harvesting the fruit. Thank you Norm for donating. The fruit was donated to the seniors at the Glendora After Stroke Center and Shepherd's Pantry

Pardon us! We are on a HIGH and it’s ALL Norm’s fault. We’ll share deets about today’s apple pick once we’ve recovered. Meanwhile we hope you enjoy these pictures from the magician’s garden. 😇

An all ladies GHS Fruitfully Yours team picked tangerines and kumquats from a first time donor in Glendora today. This pick was led by our first time lead, the amazing Samaaya, rising senior with the support of her parents. Thank you to our terrific team for harvesting and later dropping the food to Shepherd’s Pantry.

Fruitfully Yours just keeps on going! We are back in the garden picking some blood oranges today as the citrus season dwindles down. Not a big pick, but we didn’t want them to drop and donated the crop to Shepherd’s Pantry. Thank you to our amazing big lead Stacy and all the young kids from the Glendora unified school district and beyond that participated and made it happen. You are truly wind beneath our wings! 🪽 🪽🪽

Happy Earth Day everyone!

Fruitfully Yours provided farm to table culinary classes at the Spartan Garden of the Sandburg middle school and the culmination of those classes was a demonstration at the Earth Day festival this past weekend. Our theme for the culinary classes was ‘Cooking is a Superpower’ and we made recipes that encouraged the students to “eat the rainbow.”

At the Earth Day festival, we made a delicious citrus salsa with the in-season citrus which included blood oranges, pink Cara Cara oranges and Valencia oranges with vine-ripe tomatoes and buttery avocados.

A big thank you to the Spartan Garden and the Glendora Unified School District for inviting us another year for conducting these classes. We couldn’t have done these classes without our amazing elves McKenzie and Ixchel, so a big thank you to them as well.

As always, we had so much fun at the Glendora Earth Day festival yesterday. This is our eight year attending with our amazing volunteers from Glendora high school.

Thank you Ayan, Soraya, Somaaya and Kara for your hard work, the donors who provided us fruit for our booth and to the for inviting us each time.

To all the members of the community that especially stopped by our booth to say a thank you for what we did and how much they appreciated it, we want to say a big thank you too. You made our day! 😊
