Going to use an early tailboom on 938 for this restoration. I like it as it is more 1966 period correct and conveniently had the pull out ground handling handles to save the VOR antennas. The boom will be reskinned with aluminum instead of the magnesium that is on it now. It is easy to peel the thin magnesium off as it is so thin. Much easier to to work in the inside of the boom for rods and cables. The frame is aluminum and I’ll work one side at a time.
