A Haven for Us’ Community Microgrant Program provides direct financial assistance to trans and q***r adults facing barriers to care, housing, education, and other essential needs.

This isn’t abstract support, it’s direct aid for real people navigating real challenges. Every gift helps us show that our community takes care of each other.

Finding the right support can be overwhelming, and knowing where to start isn’t always easy. A Haven for Us now offers free Resource Referral Requests to help you navigate resources in your area.

Tell us what you’re looking for, and our team will help identify trusted, LGBTQIA+ affirming resources that may fit your needs, including:

💵 Financial assistance
🏳️‍🌈 Local LGBTQIA+ support
🤝 Community services.. and more!

Grounded in his lived experience as a trans person of color, Zach brings a deep passion for community care and creating spaces where people feel supported, empowered, and connected. August is Transgender History Month, a time to honor the trans people who came before us, preserve our stories, and celebrate the courage, authenticity, joy, and resilience within our community.

At A Haven for Us, we recognize that the progress we have made was built through the advocacy, resistance, care, and community-building of our trans ancestors. Their work continues to shape our present and guide our future.

We remain committed to helping create a world that is safer, more affirming, and more accessible for trans people of every identity, background, and experience. We know there is no trans future without trans history, and no Pride without trans Pride.

Today, we celebrate the incredible diversity that exists under the nonbinary umbrella. There is no singular way to be nonbinary; every identity, experience, and journey is unique and worthy of respect.

To everyone who is living authentically, exploring who they are, or simply taking things one day at a time: your existence matters. We recognize the courage it can take to embrace yourself in a world that doesn’t always make space for gender beyond the binary.

Today, we honor Juneteenth: a day commemorating the end of slavery in the United States and celebrating Black freedom, resilience, culture, and achievement.

As we reflect on this important day, we also recognize and celebrate the countless contributions Black individuals have made to LGBTQIA+ history and movements. From trailblazers like Marsha P. Johnson and Miss Major Griffin-Gracy to the many Black activists, organizers, artists, and community leaders whose work has advanced equality and justice, Black voices have been central to the fight for liberation.

At A Haven for Us, we honor the intersection of Black and LGBTQIA+ identities and remain committed to creating spaces where everyone can experience safety, belonging, and the freedom to live authentically.
