🥳 Our Annual Glendale Ambassadors Appreciation Dinner was a fun filled evening! Lots of laughter, great conversation, yummy food, and awards too!

It has been an incredible and impactful season. The Board will continue to meet during the summer to plan for the new year and Membership Meetings will be back in September. We would love to have you join us.

Our Glendale Ambassadors started the weekend with an impactful tour of the West Valley Community Food Pantry. Special thanks to the amazing June Kelsey for the tour and informational program. We were honored to present a grant in the amount of $500 to the organization.

The Food Pantry is managed by 25 wonderful volunteers including June who said this is her passion. It is obvious through all the impsctful work she does. June and her volunteer team are making a big difference in our community.

For more than 30 years, the Glendale Ambassadors have provided grants to help non profits throughout Glendale continue their important work. We would love to have you join us!

😃 Our Helping Hands of Glendale started the day at 6:30 a.m. for our ongoing Adopt a Street program. We regularly clean up the mile stretch on 59th Avenue from Bell Road to Union Hills. There are always "interesting" finds along the way!

Thank you to Gary Sherwood for managing the program with the City of Glendale, Arizona - Government.

The Glendale Ambassadors had an incredible tour today at the Glendale Community Garden located at 6233 N. 69th Avenue.

Master Gardener, Jenny Beasley, shared the wonderful story of the garden and the importance it has in our community. The garden provides a space for residents to grow their own food, learn, and connect, with a focus on serving the community.

Through our micro-grant program, the Ambassadors funded compost that will serve the garden for many months to come. We were thrilled to help fund this essential project for this special place. Be sure to stop by to visit soon! The Garden is open to the public Tuesday-Saturday in the morning hours.

Our Helping Hands of Glendale filled six bags with debris from our Adopt a Street Clean Up this weekend. Special thanks to Jodie, Patrice, Gary, Al, and Bud for volunteering.

The Glendale Ambassadors have adopted 59th Avenue from Bell to Union Hills. If you would like to learn more about the Ambassadors and all our community projects, please reach out. We would love to have you join us!

Celebrate Glendale's 130 year history at the Annual Founders Day on 1.10.26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

🚌This is also the day we have the Annual History Bus Tour sponsored by the Glendale Ambassadors. The four-hour tour stops at iconic historic sites throughout Glendale. The tour is from 8 a.m. to noon and is free-of-charge. Reservations are required. We have a few seats remaining. If you would like to attend, please email [email protected] or call 602-619-8894.

🎤 There are approximately five stops along the route and guests will be exit the bus to see the sites up close and personal. Wear your walking shoes! Our Tour Guides are Councilmember Bart Turner, long time residents Davita Solter, and Bud Zomok, President of the Glendale Ambassadors. We look forward to celebrating Glendale's history with you on this special day.

🎄 Our December Membership Meeting at Velma Teague Library is always dedicated to preparing holiday treat baskets for the Glendale Fire and Police stations.

❄️ Thank you to all our wonderful members who attended the meeting, donated the sweet treats, and filled the baskets! The baskets were packed with goodies. Davita added a special gift this year, Police and Fire themed rubber duckies! We even had a special guest at the meeting, Nancy's daughter who is visiting from Virginia.

🎅 Hats off to Gary for coordinating the project each year and to all of Santa's Helpers for delivering the baskets (Davita, Patrice and Gary S., Harry, Gary H., Ray and Diana, and Bud.) In addition, we were excited to present a donation to Velma Teague Library as a thank you for hosting our meeting every year.

💕 This was truly our best year yet! We are looking forward to year 32 as the Helping Hands of Glendale.

Our Parade Team did an amazing job representing the Glendale Ambassadors at yesterday's Glendale Hometown Christmas Parade. Thank you to Diana, Patrice, Gary, Bud, and Al.

We are very thankful to Sam, Tracy, Bobbi and team for providing the wagon for us every year.

This annual tradition welcomed thousands of parade watchers along Glendale Avenue. It was a picture perfect Arizona morning!

🎄The Glendale Ambassadors kicked off the Glendale Glitters Season last week with our Annual Candy Cane Trail. Our Jolly Elves walked throughout Historic Downtown Glendale and handed out 1,000 candy canes! This treasured tradition is a favorite for our volunteers. Thank you to Jodie, Nancy, Al, Martha, and Marty for making this extra sweet memory....

🏫 Thank you to the Glendale Elementary School District for inviting us to be a part of their Annual Employee Resource event. We enjoyed meeting everyone! We shared space with Historic Downtown Glendale and the Glendale Sister Cities.

Now, the flag’s final stop is coming home to Arizona, which will mark 50 out of 50 states where I have flown the flag.

Please join me at the Arizona State Capitol on Saturday, October 25, at 10:00 a.m. as we proudly raise this remarkable flag over our state. This celebration honors our veterans and the unity, pride, and the spirit of America, and I would love for you to be part of it.

Come early, wear your red, white, and blue, and help us give this flag the warmest welcome home!
