As of 2020, COWF's mission is to break down the barriers that continue to keep communities dependent on foreign aid and one off mission.

Children of War Foundation's mission is to deliver access to transformational healthcare, education and infrastructure needs to children effected by war, natural disaster, climate change, poverty, isolation, and migration challenges. We're doing this by building capacity by providing access to education.

Thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder that requires ongoing care, regular treatment, and long-term support. At Children of War Foundation, around 15 of our students also receive care for thalassemia while continuing their education through our programs.

Geometry Class at the School of Dreams!

Today at the School of Dreams, our students practiced identifying and drawing different geometric shapes, building an early foundation for problem-solving, visual learning, and deeper understanding in mathematics.

From circles and squares to triangles and rectangles, these simple lessons are part of the many subjects and skills taught at the School of Dreams, helping our students grow with confidence one lesson at a time.

✨ Happy New Year! ✨

Because of you, children affected by war were given education, care, and hope when they needed it most.

In 2025, 77 students who could not safely attend school were able to continue their education through our remote education program. With access to online learning and academic support, these students stayed in school, stayed motivated, and continued building a future despite the challenges of conflict.

The School of Dreams became a safe and stable learning space for 55 families this year. More than a classroom, it offered children routine, support, and a sense of normalcy—giving families hope in the middle of uncertainty.

In 2025, we helped provide 50 life-saving surgeries for children who otherwise would not have had access to urgent medical care. These procedures were more than medical interventions—they were second chances at life.

As we welcome a new year, we look back with gratitude at what we achieved together in 2025.
Education continued. Lives were saved. Hope was restored.

📚✨ Back to school at the School of Dreams is always a special time—but this year feels extra meaningful.

Because of Agility, 55 children are returning to class with new supplies, renewed energy, and most importantly, the chance to keep learning. From backpacks and pencils to storybooks, soccer balls, and even small dolls that brought endless smiles, our students began the school year with joy in their hearts and hope in their hands.

But Agility’s support is about so much more than school supplies. Over the years, they have kept the School of Dreams alive—providing coverings for our tent classrooms, whiteboards, books, and a teacher who believes in every single child. She follows up with her students more closely than anyone, ensuring their success and reminding them daily that they matter.

This program has touched more than 300 families. Two girls, once forced to leave school in 9th grade to work, are now back in class and continuing their education because this school still stands. That is the power of Agility’s commitment.

✨ 10 children. 10 surgeries. 10 new chances at life. ✨

For months, these little ones lived with pain from conditions like chronic tonsillitis, struggling to sleep, eat, and even focus in school. Last week, thanks to our dedicated doctors and the partnership of Al Khalidi Hospital, they finally received the care they desperately needed.

But our work does not end in the operating room. We stayed by their side through every step, holding hands during pre-op nerves, comforting families during long waits, and celebrating together as each child woke up with a brighter, healthier future ahead.

This mission was more than surgeries, it was the gift of relief, laughter, and possibility returning to childhood. 💙
