It was a stunning and refreshing morning on the square as the Glasgow Garden Club, Serve 309, and Jonathon Shipp, Maintenance Director for the County, came together to beautifully replant flowers in the new planters just off the town square, bringing new life to the area where shrubs had previously struggled. Red, white, and blue flowers were carefully chosen to commemorate the nationwide celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 2026. With unity and purpose, they planted asparagus ferns, red begonias, white bacopa, and blue dwarf morning glories. This heartwarming community effort truly showcases the power of collaboration and dedication.

The Glasgow Garden Club and Jr Gardeners gathered at Glenview Health and Rehab for a rejuvenating Garden Therapy session, spreading joy as members lovingly arranged vibrant flowers from their own gardens into vases, bringing beauty and warmth to the residents.

Julie Jolly, County Court Clerk, found this in the attic of the Courthouse and passed it along to Glenda Eaton, garden club member. Years ago, the garden club did planting of trees and shrubs around the Courthouse. People gave donations to do this in memory or honor of someone.This print was the design of the plants and list of people and who they honored. Glenda graciously took it and had the broken glass replaced. You can now view it at Lera B Mitchell Clubhouse. Thank you Glenda and Larry Eaton for making this possible.

Members Glenda Eaton and Mary B Glanz attended the Cardinal Council's Annual yard sale at the Eloise B. Houchens Center in Bowling Green. Monies raised from the yard sale go toward funding the Cardinal Council of Garden Clubs Flower Show.
