Gladwin Jr. High FCA Huddle recap- October 14 2026:

🥤🍬 Today, 47 students (a record number for our attendance!!!!) joined our huddle for fellowship and a fun dirty soda bar! Our message, “POP with Joy—Share Something Sweet,” reminded us that even when life feels sour, God’s goodness remains. Through Psalm 34:8, we were encouraged to Pray, Offer kindness, and Praise God—sharing His love and adding a little sweetness to someone else’s day! 💛

God is SO good and he is moving in the hearts of these young people who wake up early and KEEP showing up for Jesus each week!

“O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him.” —Psalm 34:8

FCA Huddle Recap 10/7/26:
Gladwin Jr. High FCA students met on this beautiful fall morning and attempted a Bible Scavenger Hunt in teams.

Our huddle message today was a story about basketball player, Michael Jordan. His story demonstrates that big victories are built through small, consistent choices. You may not always feel motivated, strong, or ready, but choosing discipline, self-control, and effort—especially on the hard days—helps you grow. Keep showing up, keep pushing forward, and remember: small wins today can lead to something much bigger tomorrow.

"The fruit of the spirit is...self-control."
Galatians 5:22-23

A beautiful morning for Gladwin FCA. Our Jr. High huddle met and listened to the poem “Holes” by Scott Lewis. We talked about how when we feel stuck in a hole, we can turn to Him. Also, He wants us to use our faith and pull up others, as well!

We also had both the Gladwin High School FCA and the Jr. High FCA gather around their school’s flagpole to participate in the nationwide “See You at the Pole” to pray for their school, leaders, parents, family, and friends.

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” — Matthew 18:20

09/20/2026

This Wednesday, September 23rd, the high school FCA students invite students, parents, staff, and community members to join them in prayer at the high school flagpole at 7:45 am for the annual "See You at the Pole." Participants are encouraged to pray for our schools, community, and nation.

The regular high school FCA Huddle will also take place on Thursday at 7:30 am in Mr. T's classroom.

Grab a friend and join in on the events this week.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" -Philippians 4:13

Today we welcomed special guest speaker Kyley Wyman, an accomplished athlete who's resilience, leadership, and character extend far beyond any field. She shared her story and a powerful message with our students. 🥎❤️🙏🏻

Kyley Wyman knew what it felt like to work hard for something she loved. Whether she was on the softball field, volleyball court, or basketball court, she was always ready to compete and give her best. But during her sophomore year of high school, Kyley faced a challenge she couldn’t simply practice her way through. She needed surgery.

Suddenly, instead of preparing for the next game, Kyley was preparing for recovery. There would be difficult days, frustrating moments, and plenty of times when progress seemed slow. Getting back to the athlete she had been wasn’t going to happen overnight.

Kyley had a choice: focus on what the injury had taken away or focus on what she could do next. She chose to move forward.

Kyley’s surgery was a setback. Her recovery was the beginning of her comeback. And her story proves that sometimes…THE COMEBACK IS GREATER THAN THE SETBACK.

I rise — not because it’s easy, but because God isn’t done.

This morning we had the largest turnout so far for our last Gladwin Jr. High FCA huddle of the 2025-2026 school year. 💙

God is working in the lives of these young people and I am very thankful for the opportunity to have had a hand in shaping some hearts for Jesus this school year. This group of students will forever hold a special place in my heart. They have loving hearts and truly model the walk of the Christian athlete.

I want to extend a big thank you to parents for helping these kids show up each Friday and for the school community embracing this new student organization. I also would like to thank Jonathon Harper and Carolyn Griffiths for helping launch this program and for the continued support which has been such a blessing.

As we close the school year, we continue to plan for our future huddles and hope for growth in attendance next year. God is doing great things here in Gladwin. Stay tuned! 💙
