Western States Mounted Officers Association www.wsmoa.com Events rotate from North to South each year to accommodate departments in different parts of the state.

The Western States Mounted Officers Association is a non-profit dedicated to helping LEO, SAR, volunteers and posse members with training and communications opportunities. The association strives to keep mounted units in touch with one another and to provide high quality, POST approved trainings at various locations throughout California. Basic and Advanced classes are offered 1-2 times a year, along with Instructor Development classes, Trail Trial Competitions and a General Conference.

More from day three of our 2026 fall Mounted Officer Class. Day three starts at 8am and runs to 9 pm. It is designed to simulate a long deployment with lots of sensory. Stay tuned for more scary stuff.
