REMEMBER! Monday, December 22nd is a BIG DAY for Gilbert! The Coca-Cola big truck and Santa will be at Boones from 1:00 to 3:30. Bring your kiddos for pictures! Then… at 6:00, Santa, Ms. Clause and their elves will be traveling the streets of Gilbert judging Christmas decorations. Look for a brightly lit antique truck playing Christmas music and being escorted by a FPSO Deputy. Come out and greet them and get a sweet treat as they pass by your house!

We just love this time of year 🤗 🎄

Attention Gilbert residents!!!! We are having our Christmas lighting contest again. We are doing things a bit different this year. Everyone that lives inside the city limits is eligible to win! You do NOT have to register to enter the contest, all that you have to do is decorate the outside of your home. Our judges will be riding around Gilbert on the evening of Monday, December 22nd to decide our winners. First place wins $250, Second wins $150 and Third wins $100. Let’s light up Gilbert this Christmas season!

This Tuesday and Wednesday until sold out! At Winnsboro state bank here in Gilbert!

Sweet potato pies, coconut pie with meringue, coconut cake, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, peanut butter fudge, regular fudge, butterfinger cake, german chocolate cake, pound cake, pineapple one flavor of our specialty breads, plus more!

Santa’s making another stop in Gilbert!

If you missed the Christmas Coca-Cola truck yesterday at the Gilbert Dollar General, then don’t worry because you will have another opportunity to see it! The Hutto’s have arranged for the truck and Santa to be at Boone’s Grocery on December 22nd from 1:00 to 3:30!

We are so excited to announce our annual Bake Sale!

We will be at Winnsboro State Bank in Gilbert 9am-2pm Tuesday 11/25 and Wednesday 11/26 selling our baked goodies!

All proceeds will go towards bettering our community. Stop by and grab something sweet 😊

Church Family, we get to be part of something special.

Under the banner Impact Franklin, churches, businesses, and civic groups are coming together to help neighbors who are not receiving emergency SNAP benefits this month or are facing furlough because of the shutdown. On Friday, November 14 at 10:00 a.m., emergency food boxes (about $100 of groceries each) will be distributed at River of Life Church in Winnsboro.

👉 Our part at FBC Wisner:
We’ve been asked to provide 200 packages of dry (powdered) milk to go in these boxes.

You can help by bringing sealed boxes or pouches of powdered milk to church this Sunday or next, or dropping them by the office during the week. Every package goes directly into a box for a family in need here in Franklin Parish.

If you know of other churches, businesses, or civic groups who would like to participate, have them reach out to Pastor Garrison at [email protected].

Due to the expected weather coming in on Tuesday, we’ve decided to move our Halloween BooWalk to THURSDAY, October 30, from 5–7 PM!

We can’t wait to see everyone in their costumes for a fun (and dry!) evening of treats, tricks, and spooky fun! 🍬🕸️
