Matthew Burns, Exec Dir of the Greater Gibson Area Economic Alliance, board members Bill Kirby and Tom Bennett and City Council member Denis Fisher, recently attended the 37th Rural Community Economic Development Conference in Springfield. This conference focused on rural opportunities and challenges; nonprofits, healthcare, manufacturing, working with K12 school systems, tourism, daycare and much more. Time well spent! Good to catch up with Gisele Hamm, WIU and Mapping Administrator!

Recently, about 800 supporters gathered in Chicago for the Annual Dinner of the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association. Record turnout! Great opportunity to network, to hear more about artificial intelligence and recognize several key award winners. Thank you President & CEO Mark Denzler, Donovan Griffith and your entire team!

Recently, GCMS School Superintendent Jeremy Darnell and High School Principal Kyle Bielfeldt met with Parkland College President Lau, Dr. Stuart, and Sr. Dir Alicia Beck to talk about ways to reduce education barriers. We are grateful for the past, present and future partnering between Parkland College and the entire community! Key partner indeed.
