Jonquil Jubilee The Jonquil Jubilee is held every year on the first Saturday in March in Gibsland LA.

Experience the hospitality of a small town, and celebrate the arrival of Spring at the Jonquil Jubilee. Gibsland, the Daffodil Capital of Louisiana, is located one mile south of I-20 at the Gibsland/Athens Exit ( #61) and is approximately 45 miles east of Shreveport and 56 miles west of Monroe.

The Jonquil Jubilee committee met last Friday for our wrap up meeting.
We also started making plans for the 2027 festival. There was excitement within the group as we talked about next year.
So mark your calendars for March 6, 2027!

Thank you to everyone who came to the Jonquil Jubilee yesterday! It was a beautiful day with morning sunshine! We had a good attendance this year, in spite of the weather predictions of storms, which never came through our area.
Thank you to all the vendors that set up to sell their products. We heard nothing put positive comments from attendees about you!

Up early this morning, checking on the weather. Today's forecast is looking much better. Rain not expected in our area until later this afternoon/evening. So...come on out to the festival!
The Gibsland Lion's Club pancake breakfast starts at 8:00 until 10:00.
All festival activities are from 10:00-4:00.
Our speaker, Dr. Fran Holman will be speaking at First Baptist Church in Gibsland at 11:00 and 2:00.
The flowers are blooming all over the town and area.
Please be respectful of private property, where many of our flowers have been planted.
