The beloved DV Boathouse re-build project is very close at hand, and this upcoming project is solely due to the generosity of all of our donors who supported this fundraising campaign! Yesterday, the teardown work started with the removal of all of the memorabilia contained within this long-standing building. It will be saved so that it can be reinstated in the new building, carrying forward all of the traditions and team members names who have spent their summers in this special location. Some of the wood was saved to create some special mementos as well!
This upcoming weekend, we are completing the teardown work so that construction for the new and improved Boathouse can begin. If you are able and willing, we'd love to have you join us for "Boathouse Teardown Weekend." We have limited housing available due to events prior to, during, and after this activity, but we'd love to host some volunteers for the weekend. Lodging and meals will be provided.
